Victoria Park is a urban park situated on the corner of Parramatta Road and City Road, Camperdown, in the City of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The park is located adjacent to The University of Sydney and the Broadway Shopping Centre. Proclaimed as a park in 1870, Victoria Park, together with The University of Sydney and its associated University Colleges were listed on the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 31 August 2018. Victoria Park / Pakapakanthi, also known as Park 16, is a park located in the Southeastern Park Lands of the South Australian capital of Adelaide. It is bordered by Fullarton Road, Greenhill Road, East Terrace and Wakefield Road. Victoria Park is an inner south eastern suburb of Perth, Western Australia. Its local government area is the Town of Victoria Park. Victoria Park is the eastern gateway to Perth's central business district (CBD), being the intersection of the three original eastern arterial roads: Albany Highway, Canning Highway, Great Eastern Highway, and the Causeway bridge. The Causeway connects Victoria Park to the city, located to the northwest. History The suburb of Victoria Park derives its name from "Victoria Park Estate", a development that took place there in the 1890s. It is believed the name was given to the estate because Queen Victoria was still on the throne, although it may be connected with Victoria Park in Melbourne. Victoria Park is a public park in the centre of downtown Regina, Saskatchewan, Regina, the capital of the Canadian provinces and territories, Canadian province of Saskatchewan. Victoria Park railway station is a railway station on the Transperth network. It is located on the Armadale and Thornlie lines, from Perth station serving the suburbs of Victoria Park, Lathlain and Burswood. History The original Victoria Park station opened in 1898. As part of improvements to the Armadale line following the announcement of the new Mandurah line alignment in August 2002, the rail alignment was upgraded including the introduction of grade separated rail crossings. The nearby Lathlain station was also demolished, in preparation for the construction of a new Victoria Park station nearby. Victoria Park is a cricket ground in Whanganui, Manawatū-Whanganui, New Zealand. The ground is located in the park of the same name, on Parsons Street, Whanganui. It houses the headquarters of the Whanganui Cricket Association. There are four cricket pitches and four fields on the ground, and other sporting facilities in the park. A cricket ground was first developed in the park in 1890. The first inter-provincial match held at Victoria Park was between Wanganui and Manawatu in March 1896. The first Hawke Cup match there came in 1947 when Wanganui played Taranaki. The ground later held its first first-class match during the 1990/91 Shell Trophy when Central Districts played Northern Districts. Victoria Park, Auckland
Victoria Park is a park and sports ground in the Auckland city centre, New Zealand. It was opened in 1905 and named after the queen who had died four years earlier. It lies on reclaimed bay land in Freemans Bay, a suburb directly west of the Auckland CBD. However, it does not have direct connection to the foreshore anymore, as the Western Reclamation and the Viaduct Basin quarter lie between it and the Waitematā Harbour. The bay started to be filled in as early as the 1870s although the bulk of the reclamation appears to have happened after 1901. The Park was 'finished' around 1912, the area to the north (called the Western Reclamation) dates from after that. Gqeberha (), formerly Port Elizabeth and colloquially often referred to as P.E., is a major seaport and the most populous city in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa.
