Victor Central School District
The Victor Central School District is a public school district in New York State that serves approximately 4,500 students in the Village of Victor and portions of the towns of Farmington and Victor in Ontario County; portions of the town of Perinton in Monroe County; and portions of the town of Macedon in Wayne County, with an operating budget of approximately $64 million (~$9,884 per student in 2004). The average class size is 24 students (all grades), as of 2006. The student-teacher ratio is 14-15:1(elementary), 13-14:1(middle-high school). As of 2018, there are a total of 475 staff members. Victor, New York
Victor is an incorporated town in Ontario County, New York. The population was 15,969 at the time of the 2020 census. The town is named after Claudius Victor Boughton, an American hero of the War of 1812. The Town of Victor contains a village, also called Victor. The town is in the northwest corner of Ontario County and is southeast of Rochester. Victor is part of the Greater Rochester area; Victor's strategic location led to extensive suburban growth in the late 20th and early 21st century. Public School Funding
Public schools in the United States of America provide basic education from kindergarten until the twelfth grade. This is provided free of charge for the students and parents, but is paid for by taxes on property owners as well as general taxes collected by the federal government. Victor Senior High School
Victor Senior High School is a public high school located in Victor, New York, and is part of the encompassing Victor Central School District. It is a four year high school covering grades 9-12, which regularly receives both national and state recognition for excellence in education. Classes are scheduled into 85-minute block periods and follow New York State standards in curriculum.
