Vickram Outar Bharrat (born in Guyana) is a Guyanese politician. Career Bharrat worked as the owner of Xenon Academy, fifteen years he has been an educator, mentor and entrepreneur. He is a current Minister of Natural Resources in Guyana. Bharrat was sworn into President Irfaan Ali's cabinet on August 5, 2020, by Irfaan Ali. People's Progressive Party (Guyana)
The People's Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) is a democratic socialist, left-wing populist political party in Guyana. As of 2020, the party holds 33 of the 65 seats in the National Assembly and forms the government. It has been the ruling party in the past as well, most recently between 1992 and 2015. The minister of natural resources () is the minister of the Crown in the Canadian Cabinet who is responsible for Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). Mohamed Irfaan Ali (born 25 April 1980) is a Guyanese politician who has served as the tenth and current president of Guyana since 2020. He is the first Muslim to hold the office, along with being the second Muslim head of state in the Americas after Noor Hassanali of Trinidad and Tobago. Ali was a member of parliament (MP) and the minister of housing before becoming the presidential candidate of the People's Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) in the March 2020 general election.
