Vicki Benckert
Vicki Benckert (born 17 October 1960) is a Swedish pop singer. Vicki Benckert broke through in the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1984, where she had written three of the songs ''Kärleksmagi'', ''Sankta Cecilia'' and ''Livet är som ett träd'' which she also performed. Of the 90 songs selected to participate in Melodifestivalen 1984, she wrote or performed in seven.TV-show '' Melodifestivalen 1984'', broadcast on Sveriges Television 1984. She also performed in the Schlagerfestival in Sopot, Poland, where she won three of four prizes for singing. She then performed in Moscow to an audience of 80,000. She was also one of many famous backing vocalists for Tommy Nilsson, for his song, "En Dag", which represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 1989. Niklas Strömstedt
Bo Anders Niklas Strömstedt (born 25 July 1958) is a Swedish singer, songwriter, musician, record producer and actor. Early life Niklas Strömstedt was born on 25 July 1958 in Lund as the first child of Margareta (née Henriksson) and Bo Strömstedt. Strömstedt's sister, Lotten, is four years his junior. Strömstedt was raised in the Stockholm suburb of Hagsätra. Strömstedt attended Adolf Fredrik's Music School in Stockholm. Career Strömstedt played the keyboards on Ulf Lundell's recordings and tours from the late 1970s to the end of the 1980s. Strömstedt's most recognised hit as a solo artist is the song " Om", reaching number one on the Swedish chart and Svensktoppen in 1990. Stockholm Pride (styled as STHLM Pride) is an annual gay pride festival held in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. Since the start in 1998, Stockholm Pride has grown. In 2014, some 60,000 participated and 600,000 followed the parade at the streets. The celebrations normally starts with lectures and exhibitions all over the city on the Monday. Bert Gustav Tommy Körberg (; born 4 July 1948) is a Swedish singer, actor, and musician. English-speaking audiences know him best for his role as Anatoly/"The Russian" in the musical ''Chess''. Christer Sandelin
Christer Eric Sandelin (born 5 November 1961) is a Swedish singer, songwriter and musician. He has been a part of two groups. In 1978, he was in the Swedish group Freestyle with Tommy Ekman, Joakim Hagleitner, Gigi Hamilton, Diane Söderholm and Anders Uddbergand, and after the break-up of the band in 1983, he continued with Ekman and Hamilton to form the Swedish band trio Style. In 1989, he started his solo career with his debut album ''Luften darrar'' and has had a number of albums. Tomas Folke Jonas Ledin (; born 25 February 1952) is a Swedish singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer. He grew up in the town of Sandviken, Sweden and has sold 3 million records. Career Tomas Ledin started his career in 1972 when his first single, "Då ska jag spela", was a big hit. Other successful songs followed: "Blå, blå känslor" (1973), (covered by Björn Skifs), "Knivhuggarrock" (1975), "Festen har börjat" (1976), and "I natt är jag din" (1977). Sweden held a national preselction named ''Melodifestivalen 1984'' to choose the entry for the Eurovision Song Contest the same year. The winner was the three brothers Herrey, consisting of Richard, Louis and Per. Their song was called "Diggi-Loo Diggi-Ley", and was written by Britt Lindeborg and Torgny Söderberg. Before Eurovision Melodifestivalen 1984 Melodifestivalen 1984 was the selection for the 24th song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the 23rd time that this system of picking a song had been used. 90 songs were submitted to SVT for the competition. The final was held in the Lisebergshallen in Gothenburg on 25 February 1984, presented by Fredrik Belfrage and was broadcast on TV1 but was not broadcast on radio. Army Of Lovers
Army of Lovers is a Swedish dance- pop group which formed in 1987 and had a number of hits in Europe throughout the 1990s. Some of their biggest successes include the song "Crucified", which was a big hit in Europe, charting 31 weeks in the Eurochart and peaking at number 14 in 1992. It remains their best-known song internationally. Their second international hit, "Obsession", charted 32 weeks and peaked at number 29.
