Vicious Recordings
Vicious Vinyl is a record label based in Melbourne, Australia. The label was started in the late 1980s in Frankston by aspirant producer/ DJs, Andy Van and John Course. Colin Daniels later joined as their third partner. Vicious Recordings was founded in 1992, and has featured artists such as Avicii, Dirty South, Madison Avenue, Peking Duk, and The Potbelleez. They released a number of local artists including Ground Level, Bubbleman and Pendulum to major club scene acclaim. The label garnered major international success with the ''Vicious Grooves'' release of Andy Van's Madison Avenue project and their single, "Don't Call Me Baby". The label also released five volumes of the compilation series, '' Da House and Club Anthems'' and their long line of albums under the name ''Vicious Cuts'' (or ' on iTunes). The Potbelleez
The Potbelleez are a three-member Irish-Australian electro-house and dance music group, which formed in 2003 as a duo by DJs Dave Goode (a.k.a. David Greene) and Jonny Sonic (Jonathon Murphy). In 2005 they were joined by rapper Blue MC (Marisa Lock) on vocals and in 2006 by iKid (Ilan Kidron) on vocals. In October 2007, the group issued their breakthrough single, " Don't Hold Back", which peaked at No. 5 on the ARIA Singles Chart and, in 2011, it was certified 3× Platinum by ARIA. On 22 November 2008 their debut self-titled album was released, which reached No. 17 on the ARIA Albums Chart. On 27 May 2011 they issued a second studio album, ''Destination Now'', which peaked at the same position. "Don't Call Me Baby" is a song by Australian house music duo Madison Avenue (band), Madison Avenue, taken as the first single from their only studio album, ''The Polyester Embassy'' (2000). Written by Cheyne Coates, Andy Van Dorsselaer, Duane Morrison, and Giuseppe Chierchia, the song includes a bassline sample from "Ma Quale Idea" by Italo disco artist Pino D'Angiò, which in turn is based on "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now" by McFadden & Whitehead. Pendulum was an ambient house Australian group, active from 1994–1998. They are best known for their 1997 single "Coma". Career Pendulum formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1994 as a partnership between two Melbourne disc jockeys Julian Warner, Noel Mihailovic. In early 1995, Pendulum released their debut single, " I Need You", which reached #1 on Melbourne's Kiss FM Dance chart within three weeks of its release and it received major club play across the country. The song was released in USA on Fade records and in the UK on Foreign Policy. "I Need You" was followed by the single "Awesome Party/Insecurity". Peking Duk are an electronic music group made up of disc jockeys and music producers Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles. The pair first garnered attention in 2012 with the release of a Passion Pit bootleg remix.
