Vicente Gerbasi
Vicente Gerbasi (June 2, 1913 in Canaobo, Carabobo – December 28, 1992 in Caracas) was a representative poet of Venezuelan 20th century. Biography Vicente Gerbasi was born in Canoabo, a small city in Carabobo in Northern Venezuela as child of Italian immigrants. He was part of the "Grupo Viernes", and published many books of poetry; in later years, many were published by Monte Ávila Editores. The Biblioteca Ayacucho (''Ayacucho Library'') is an editorial entity of the government of Venezuela, founded on September 10, 1974. It is managed by the ''Fundación Biblioteca Ayacucho''. Its name, ''Ayacucho'', comes from the intention to honor the definitive and crucial Battle of Ayacucho that took place on December 9, 1824, between Spain and the territories of the Americas, prior to the full independence of the continent. The University of Carabobo (Spanish: ''Universidad de Carabobo'') is an autonomous, public university of Venezuela located in Valencia, Venezuela. It offers graduate and postgraduate studies in different areas. The university offers a lot of green spaces for student recreation, as well architectural art around the faculties, a theater, and two dining halls. There are around 65,000 students, mostly coming from the central part of the country. The main campus is at Bárbula, north of Valencia in the municipality of Naguanagua.
