Viaggio In Italia (album)
''Viaggio in Italia'' is the sixteenth studio album by the Italian singer-songwriter Alice, released in 2003 by NUN Entertainment. ''Viaggio in Italia'' started as a tour project in 2001 called ''Le parole del giorno prima'' ("The Words of The Day Before"), an hommage to some of Italy's foremost '' cantautori'', singer-songwriters and lyricists, among them Ivano Fossati, Fabrizio De André, Francesco De Gregori, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Lucio Battisti, Franco Battiato, Manlio Sgalambro and Giorgio Gaber, mainly covering material from the 1970s and the early 1980s but interpreted with contemporary musical arrangements and an emphasis on the lyrical values of the songs. Carla Bissi, known professionally as Alice or Alice Visconti (; born 26 September 1954), is an Italian singer-songwriter and pianist who began her career in the early 1970s. After releasing three albums by the end of the decade, her breakthrough came in 1981 when she won the Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Per Elisa". Robert Fripp (born 16 May 1946) is a British musician, songwriter, record producer, and author, best known as the guitarist, founder and longest-lasting member of the progressive rock band King Crimson. Auschwitz (song)
"Auschwitz" is a song composed by Francesco Guccini , and originally performed by Equipe 84. It was first released as the B-side of a cover of Sonny & Cher's "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)", and later included in Equipe 84's album ''Io ho in mente te''. Although the song was written by Guccini it was credited to Lunero and Maurizio Vandelli as the author at the time was not a member of the SIAE. The following year the song was later recorded by Francesco Guccini and included in his debut album '' Folk beat n. 1'', with the title "La canzone del bambino nel vento (Auschwitz)" ('The song of the child in the wind'). Guccini's authorship of the song was first acknowledged only in 1967, and officially recognized after a 30 years long trial. Pasquale Panella (born 12 January 1950) is an Italian lyricist, playwright, poet and novelist. He sometimes used the pen names Duchesca and Vanera. Life and career Panella was born in Rome. Léo Ferré (24 August 1916 – 14 July 1993) was a French-born Monégasque poet and composer, and a dynamic and controversial live performer, whose career in France dominated the years after the Second World War until his death. ''Exit'' is the fourteenth studio album by Italian singer-songwriter Alice, released in 1998 on WEA/Warner Music. Bluvertigo were an Italian alternative rock band from the Milan metropolitan area. Originally formed in 1992 with the name "Golden Age", the band switched to the name Bluvertigo shortly before recording their first album. ''The Madcap Laughs'' is the debut solo album by the English singer-songwriter Syd Barrett. It was recorded after Barrett had left Pink Floyd in April 1968. Roger Keith "Syd" Barrett (6 January 1946 – 7 July 2006) was an English singer, songwriter, and musician who co-founded the rock band Pink Floyd in 1965.
