MOS Technology 6522
The 6522 Versatile Interface Adapter (VIA) is an integrated circuit that was designed and manufactured by MOS Technology as an I/O port controller for the MOS Technology 6502, 6502 family of microprocessors. It provides two bidirectional 8-bit parallel I/O ports, two 16-bit timers (one of which can also operate as an event counter), and an 8-bit shift register for serial communications or data conversion between serial and parallel forms. The direction of each bit of the two I/O ports can be individually programmed. In addition to being manufactured by MOS Technology, the 6522 was second sourced by other companies including Rockwell International, Rockwell and Synertek. The 6522 was widely used in computers of the 1980s, particularly Commodore International, Commodore's machines, and was also a central part of the designs of the Apple III, Oric#Oric-1, Oric-1 and Oric#Oric Atmos, Oric Atmos, BBC Micro, Sirius Systems Technology, Victor 9000/Sirius 1 and Macintosh, Apple Macintosh ...

Via (Thalia Zedek Album)
''Via'' is Thalia Zedek's fifth solo album, released five years after ''Liars and Prayers''. Background Released by Thrill Jockey on March 18, 2013—half a decade after Zedek's previous solo album, 2008's ''Liars and Prayers''— ''Via'' was recorded in June 2012 and September 2012 at New Alliance Studio, in Cambridge, MA and at Translator Audio, in Brooklyn, NY, respectively. Zedek's second solo album to be credited to the Thalia Zedek Band, ''Via'' was produced and engineered by longtime Zedek collaborator Andrew Schneider (Cave In, Unsane, Daughters). She and Schneider both shared mixing duties, which was then mastered by Josh Bonati at Bonati Mastering in Brooklyn, NY. The material in ''Via'' was written during two distinct sessions over a period of four years. The touring that followed the release of Liars and Prayers provided the occasion for the first session, during which their then drummer Daniel Coughlin contributed to the process. Once the touring for ''Liars ...

VIA Music
VIA (Russian: ''ВИА'') is an abbreviation for Vocal- usicInstrumental-Ensemble (russian: Вокально-инструментальный ансамбль, ''Vokalno-instrumentalny ansambl''). It is the general name used for pop and rock bands that were formally recognized by the Soviet government from the 1960s to the 1980s. In Soviet times, the term ''VIA'' generally meant ''band'', but it is now used in Russia to refer specifically to pop, rock, and folk groups active during the Soviet period. In the PRL and some other neighbouring satellite states of the USSR the term big-beat was used instead. History The term VIA appeared in the Soviet Union in the 1960s and represented a model under which the Soviet government was willing to permit domestic rock and pop music acts to develop. To break through to the state-owned Soviet media, a band needed to become an officially recognized VIA. Each VIA had an artistic director (художественный руководител ...

Vià
Vià (stylised as vià) is a French television network. It started as a southern regional network in 2010, before going national in 2018, and subsequently contracting again due to economic problems. History Origins When its national network Antennes Locales did not take off, Paris-based sold off its television stations to various regional investors. In 2009 TéléMiroir, based in the southern city of Nîmes, was sold to Christophe Musset and his associate Pierre-Paul Castelli, who had previously partnered with GHM in free print publications.
