VfB Bayreuth
The FSV Bayreuth is a Football in Germany, German association football club from the city of Bayreuth, Bavaria. The club was formed in a merger of the football departments of 1. FC Bayreuth and BSV 98 Bayreuth in May 2003. BSV was the product an earlier merger between VfB Bayreuth and TuSpo Bayreuth. History FSV Bayreuth The club was formed on 14 May 2003, when the football departments of 1. FC and BSV 98 Bayreuth merged. The two original clubs still exist and as non-football clubs. The new club started out in the tier-eight Kreisliga Bayreuth in 2003–04, where it finished in mid-table. In its second season, the club improved but it was not enough to earn promotion. Landesliga Bayern-Nord
The Landesliga Bayern-Nord ( en, State league Bavaria-North) was the sixth tier of the German football league system in northern Bavaria. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 it was the fifth tier of the league system, until the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994 the fourth tier. The winner of the Landesliga Nord was automatically qualified for the Bayernliga, the runners-up needed to compete with the runners-up of Landesliga Bayern-Süd and Landesliga Bayern-Mitte and the 15th placed team of the Bayernliga for another promotion spot. The league was disbanded in 2012, when the Regionalliga Bayern was introduced as the new fourth tier of the German league system in Bavaria. Below this league, the Bayernliga was expanded to two divisions while the number of Landesligas grew from three to five divisions. Bezirksoberligen Bayern
The seven Bezirksoberligas Bayern were the third highest level of the Bavarian football league system, below the Bayernliga and the Landesliga Bayern from 1988 to 2012. They were the seventh tier of the German football league system. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 it was the sixth tier of the league system, until the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994 the fifth tier. Overview The seven Bezirksoberligas were introduced in 1988 to create a highest single-division playing level for each of the seven Bezirke. The Landesliga Bayern-Nordost ( en, State league Bavaria-Northeast) is currently the sixth tier of the German football league system in northeastern Bavaria and the third tier of the Bavarian football league system. The German amateur football championship was a national football competition in Germany organized by the German Football Association (German: Deutscher Fußball-Bund; DFB) and in existence from 1950 to 1998. History Overview The championship was established in 1950 as a counterpart to the German football championship, which was open only to the winners of the tier-one Oberligas. To qualify for the German amateur championship, a club had to play in the highest amateur league of its regional football federation. The majority of these leagues were tier-three leagues. The Gauliga Bayern was the highest association football league in the German state of Bavaria from 1933 to 1945.
