Vessigebro BK
Vessigebro is a locality situated in Falkenberg Municipality, Halland County, Sweden, with 740 inhabitants in 2010. The village was formed at a ford over river Ätran. Its original name, Vessigevad notice this as ''vad'' is the Swedish name for a ford. As a bridge was built over the village the name was changed (''bro'' is Swedish for bridge). The village is home to one of the oldest folk high schools in Sweden, Katrineberg Folk High School. Among facilities found in the village are Vessige church, a school, a football pitch, a nursing home and a store. Sjönvad, a hamlet east of the village, hosts an annual market, Sjönevad market. An island in the nearby lake Sjönevad hosts the remains of a minor medieval fort. Larsagården, a house of which some parts were built in the 18th century, is located to the west of the village. August Bondeson
August Leonard Bondeson (February 2, 1854-September 23, 1906) was a Swedish physician and author. Biography August Bondeson was born in Vessigebro, Sweden. He was a student at Uppsala University from 1876, graduating with a med. kand. in 1884. He also studied at Karolinska Institute (1885-1886). He started as a practicing physician in Gothenburg in the fall of 1889. Starting in 1876, he made summer trips for the study of folk languages and folk life in Värmlands Älvdal. He became one of the most popular depictors of popular Swedish culture, focusing in particular on common people's lives in southern Sweden, close to his birthplace. Tales such as ''Halländska sagor, samlade och berättade'' ("Collected and Narrated Hallandic Tales"), '' Allmogeberättelser'' ("Popular Tales") and ''Historiegubbar på Dal'' ("Tale-telling Old Mans at Dal") gave him a large and faithful audience. Ätran (river)
Ätran is a Swedish river. The river is about 240 km long, and has its source in Gullered, Västergötland, at a height of 332 m above sea level. The river has its mouth in Falkenberg, Halland, where the river enters Kattegat. The drainage basin has an area of 3,343 km², of which most is forest. The river is well known as a good place for fishing. It is comparatively unpolluted A road used for thousands of years, ''Redvägen'', followed the river. Allsvenskan (; en, the All-Swedish, also known as Fotbollsallsvenskan, en, the Football All-Swedish) is a Swedish professional league for men's association football clubs. It was founded in 1924 and is the top tier of the Swedish football league system, operating on a system of promotion and relegation with Superettan. Daniel Alexandersson
Daniel Alexandersson (born 3 December 1978) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder or forward. He is the younger brother of Niclas Alexandersson. Career Alexandersson started his youth career at Vessigebro BK and continued his early career at Halmstads BK, where his brother and father had played. He also played for Falkenbergs FF and Danish side Viborg FF before joining IF Elfsborg in 2005. During his tenure at IF Elsborg, he was in the starting eleven. In the 2006 Allsvenskan, he scored five goals and won the Swedish Championship gold. In 2008, Alexandersson left Elfsborg for IFK Göteborg where he played alongside his brother Niclas who retired after the 2008 season. In early 2010 Alexandersson chose to return to Falkenbergs FF. Lennart Alexandersson (born 31 March 1947) is a Swedish former footballer who played for Halmstads BK in the 1960s and 1970s. He is the father of football players, Niclas and Daniel Alexandersson. Niclas Alexandersson
Jens Niclas Alexandersson (born 29 December 1971) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a right winger and right back. Beginning his career with Halmstads BK in 1989, he went on to represent IFK Göteborg, Sheffield Wednesday, Everton, and West Ham United before retiring in 2009.
