Versailles (band)
Versailles (known as Versailles Philharmonic Quintet in North America) is a Japanese visual kei symphonic power metal band formed in 2007 by vocalist Kamijo (musician), Kamijo and guitarist Hizaki. After recruiting bassist Jasmine You, drummer Yuki and guitarist Teru (guitarist), Teru, they performed their first show on June 23. Their key characteristics are their Rococo-esque costumes, dueling guitars and heavy but melodic arrangements. The group gained a significant worldwide following soon after forming as their debut EP ''Lyrical Sympathy'' (2007), released by Kamijo's own label Sherow Artist Society, received a simultaneous European release and they performed in Europe and the United States the following year. ''LA Weekly'' is a free weekly alternative newspaper in Los Angeles, California. It was founded in 1978 by Jay Levin, who served as president and editor until 1991. Voice Media Group sold the paper in late 2017 to Semanal Media LLC, whose parent company is listed as Street Media. The current Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director is Darrick Rainey. It covers Los Angeles music, arts, film, theater, culture, concerts, and events. In 1979 they established the LA Weekly Theater Awards which awards small theatre productions (99 seats or less) in Los Angeles. Starting in 2006, ''LA Weekly'' has hosted the LA Weekly Detour Music Festival every October. The Revenant Choir
"The Revenant Choir" is Versailles first single and was released in three different versions, each with a different cover. It was initially sold at their "boys only" concert on June 23, 2007, at Meguro Rokumeikan. It was sold again at a "female only" live on July 25, at Holiday Shinjuku. A third CD version was issued through ''Shoxx ''Shoxx'' (stylized as ''SHOXX'') was a Japanese music magazine published monthly by Ongakusenkasha founded by Seiichi Hoshiko. It focused on Japan's visual kei scene, featuring its most popular bands as well as new ones. It is advertised as a "Vis ...'' magazine mail order in September 2007. This version is an enhanced CD that comes with a digital photo gallery. A DVD under the same title was sold at a concert at the Ebisu Liquid Room on June 24. The Zepp music halls are a group of Japanese music venues covering every area of the country. They play host to many international tours and are a popular stop among Japanese musicians. Each venue takes the Zepp name, along with the city in which it is located. The Zepp company is a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment Japan. Starting from 2017, Zepp locations also opened in other countries like Singapore and Taiwan. In 2022, it opened its very first location in Malaysia at Bukit Bintang City Centre, Kuala Lumpur. The NHK Hall is a concert hall located at the NHK Broadcasting Center, the main headquarters of Japan's Public broadcasting, public broadcaster NHK. The hall is the main venue for the NHK Symphony Orchestra, but it has also played host to other events, such as the 1979 Japan Music Awards, and NHK's annual New Year's Eve special ''Kōhaku Uta Gassen''. The Oricon Albums Chart is the Japanese music industry standard albums popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Oricon originally published LP, CT, Cartridge and CD charts prior to the establishment of the Oricon Albums Chart on October 5, 1987. The Oricon Albums Chart's rankings are based on physical albums' sales. Oricon did not include download sales until its establishment of the Digital Albums Chart on November 19, 2016. In November 2018, Oricon began to include streaming in its album rankings, introducing a combined album chart based on album-equivalent units. Charts are published every Tuesday in Oricon Style and on Oricon's official website. Every Monday, Oricon receives data from outlets, but data on merchandise sold through certain channels does not make it into the charts.
