Veronika Eduardovna Kudermetova; ; tt-Cyrl, Вероника Эдуард кызы Кадыйрмәтова, translit=Veronika Edward qızı Qadıyrmätova. (born 24 April 1997) is a Russian professional tennis player. She has a career-high singles ranking of world No. 9, achieved on 24 October 2022, and a best WTA doubles ranking of No. 2, reached on 6 June 2022. She also has reached a Grand Slam final, at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships in women's doubles with Elena Vesnina and won 2022 WTA Finals with Elise Mertens. Kudermetova won her first WTA Tour singles title at the 2021 Charleston Open, and her first WTA doubles title at the 2019 Wuhan Open, partnering Duan Yingying. 2020–21 Billie Jean King Cup Finals
The Finals, formerly known as World Group, is the highest level of Billie Jean King Cup competition in 2020–21. It was originally scheduled to be played on indoor clay courts at the László Papp Budapest Sports Arena in Budapest, Hungary from 14 until 19 April 2020, but was postponed due to COVID-19. The new venue was established to be the O2 Arena, in Prague, on indoor hard (Rebound Ace) court. The ties were contested in a best-of-three rubbers format and are played on one day. There were two singles matches, followed by a single doubles tie. France were the defending champions, but were eliminated in the round robin stage, losing both their ties. Duan Yingying
Duan Yingying (; born 3 July 1989) is a Chinese former professional tennis player. In her career, she won one singles title and three doubles titles on the WTA Tour, and two WTA Challenger doubles titles, as well as eleven singles and three doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit. Her nickname is lightning for her amazing forehand. On 24 April 2017, she reached her career-high singles ranking of world No. 60. On 3 February 2020, she peaked at No. 16 in the doubles rankings. The 2021 Charleston Open (branded as the 2021 Volvo Car Open for sponsorship reasons) was a women's professional tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts at the Family Circle Tennis Center on Daniel Island in Charleston, South Carolina. Elise Mertens (; born 17 November 1995) is a Belgian professional tennis player. She is a former world No. 1 in doubles.
