is the eighth studio album by Japanese singer Yōko Oginome. Released through Victor Entertainment on December 17, 1988, it was Oginome's first English-language album. The album was produced by Narada Michael Walden, who co-wrote the songs with Walter Afanasieff, Jeffrey Cohen, Joyce Imbesi, and Preston Glass. No singles from the album were released, but " Passages of Time" was re-recorded as a single in 1993. ''Verge of Love'' was reissued on April 21, 2010, with two bonus tracks as part of Oginome's 25th anniversary celebration. The album peaked at No. 5 on Oricon's albums chart and at No. 90 on Oricon's 1989 year-ending albums chart. It also sold over 136,000 copies. Yōko Oginome
, real name , is a former pop idol, actress and voice actress, who gained popularity in the mid-1980s. Her fans often call her Oginome-chan. She is represented by the talent management firm Rising Production. Career Oginome spent most of her elementary and junior high years living in the town of Ranzan in Saitama Prefecture, though she attended school in the city of Sakura. She graduated from Horikoshi High School in Nakano, Tokyo. While in elementary school, Oginome won a contest and was selected to be part of a three-member group called under the CBS/Sony label. D'Atra Hicks (born Deitra Cherelle Hicks; December 27, 1967) is an American actress and singer. Hicks is best known for her role as Jackie Simmons in Tyler Perry's 2002 stage play ''Madea's Family Reunion''. Hicks has also performed as Nurse Trudy in the 2006 stage play ''What's Done in the Dark'' and as Niecy in the 2009 play '' Laugh to Keep from Crying''.
