Venturi Eclectic
The Venturi Eclectic is a zero emission car, running on solar sourced electric power, from the French/ Monegasque car manufacturer Venturi owned by Gildo Pastor. It functions as a small renewable energy production and storage plant (with a roof mounted solar panel and its own wind turbine) and can be recharged at any outlet of the power grid. It was designed by Sacha Lakic. The Eclectic concept appeared at the Paris Motor Show in 2006, and was mentioned in Time Magazine's Best Inventions of 2007. It is designed with 3 seats in a V-formation, with the driver at the apex, and has open sides. It is an urban car and has a range of and a maximum speed of . Venturi Automobiles
Venturi is a Monaco-based automotive manufacturer. Founded in 1984 by French engineers Claude Poiraud and Gérard Godfroy as ''MVS (Manufacture de Voitures de Sport)'', the company's purpose was to compete in the " Grand Tourisme" market. This was only the most recent post-war attempt at building a sporty luxury car in France, following in the footsteps of Facel Vega, Monica, and Ligier. As with its predecessors, Venturi was immediately faced with many challenges ranging from an unknown name to its under-capitalized and under-staffed state. Venturi did nonetheless manage to continue in production for nearly sixteen years, declaring bankruptcy in 2000. Gildo Pallanca Pastor
Gildo Pallanca Pastor (born 1 April 1967) is a Monaco, Monegasque businessman, CEO and owner of Venturi (electric car company), Venturi. Early life Gildo Pallanca Pastor was born in Monaco, the son of Claude Pallanca and the heiress and businesswoman Hélène Pastor. He has a sister, Sylvia Pastor. He studied law in France, economic sciences in Italy and real estate construction at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge in the United States. Career Gildo Pallanca Pastor purchased Venturi (electric car company), Venturi in 2001. A wind turbine is a device that converts the kinetic energy of wind into electrical energy. Sacha Lakic
Sacha Lakic ( sr-Cyrl, Саша Лакић; born 1964) is a French automotive, furniture and product designer who has worked primarily in Paris and Luxembourg. Known for his "Onda" furniture line and Venturi electric cars, his work is described as embodying speed, future technologies, and an unadorned sculptural quality. Career Lakic has a varied portfolio, having designed motorcycles, cars, furniture, watches, high-tech accessories, scooters and bicycles. He began an internship at Peugot in 1985 and then in 1986 started working for vehicle designer Alain Carré. Two years later, Lakic became the head of motorcycle design at MBK-Yamaha, where he designed concept bikes, mass-produced models, and show bikes. Held during October, it is one of the most important auto shows, often with many new production automobile and concept car debuts. The show presently takes place in Paris expo Porte de Versailles. Sablé-sur-Sarthe (, literally ''Sablé on Sarthe''), commonly referred to as Sablé, is a commune in the Sarthe department, in the Pays de la Loire region, western France. It is about 50 km northeast of Angers. Voxan
Voxan Motors is a motorcycle manufacturer founded in Issoire, France in 1995. The brand was particularly known for its 996 cc, 72° V-twin engine. Founded by Jacques Gardette, the project was to build the first French motorcycle company in the global market involving different partners. Alain Chevallier designed the chassis, while Sodemo Moteurs focused on the engine. The first prototype was shown in 1997, and the first production model released in 1999. On 2 June 2010, the Monegasque company Venturi announced the purchase of the brand which had been in compulsory liquidation since December 2009.
