The Venturi 400 GT is a sports car produced by the French car manufacturer Venturi. The coupe was produced from 1994 to 1997 with less than 100 units. Only about 15 street versions and 73 units for racing were built. 400 Trophy The Venturi 400 Trophy, also known only as Venturi Trophy is a competition car built in 1992 specifically to compete in tourism competitions. It was powered by a V6 biturbo engine with a 90 ° bore of 2975 cm³ of displacement. Venturi Automobiles
Venturi is a Monaco-based automotive manufacturer. Founded in 1984 by French engineers Claude Poiraud and Gérard Godfroy as ''MVS (Manufacture de Voitures de Sport)'', the company's purpose was to compete in the " Grand Tourisme" market. This was only the most recent post-war attempt at building a sporty luxury car in France, following in the footsteps of Facel Vega, Monica, and Ligier. As with its predecessors, Venturi was immediately faced with many challenges ranging from an unknown name to its under-capitalized and under-staffed state. Venturi did nonetheless manage to continue in production for nearly sixteen years, declaring bankruptcy in 2000. Rocky Agusta
Riccardo "Rocky" Agusta (21 October 1950 in Milan – 10 January 2018 St. Moritz) was an Italian race car driver and aristocrat. He was an heir to the Agusta and MV Agusta aviation and motorcycle firms, running the motorcycle racing team in the 1970s. He was responsible for funding the development of the Venturi 400 into a racing car, entering one for himself in the 1993 24 Hours of Le Mans and four cars in the 1994 24 Hours of Le Mans. He drove his own Callaway Corvettes in the BPR Global GT Series and the following FIA GT Championship in the 1990s. He returned for two races in 2004 with the Nash-Saleen team. He drove a Kremer K8 Spyder in the 1998 24 Hours of Le Mans, his last appearance in the race. He was also set to drive in the Le Mans Endurance Series for the Dallara-equipped Spinnaker team, but never raced. Henri Pescarolo
Henri Jacques William Pescarolo (born 25 September 1942) is a former racing driver from France. He competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans a record 33 times, winning on four occasions, and won a number of other major sports car events including the 24 Hours of Daytona. He also participated in 64 Formula One World Championship Grands Prix, achieving one podium and 12 championship points. Pescarolo also drove in the Dakar Rally in the 1990s, before retiring from racing at the age of 57. In 2000 he set up his eponymous racing team, Pescarolo Sport, which competed in Le Mans until 2013. He wore a distinctive green helmet, and wears a full-face beard that partially covers burns suffered in a crash. Dijon-Prenois is a motor racing circuit located in Prenois, near Dijon, France. The undulating track is noted for its fast, sweeping bends. Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours is a motor racing circuit located in central France, near the towns of Magny-Cours and Nevers, some from Paris and from Lyon. The is a 150,000 person capacity motorsports complex located in the town of Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Ferrari FXX
The Ferrari FXX is a high-performance track-only developmental prototype built by Italian automobile manufacturer Ferrari. The FXX is based on the street-legal flagship Enzo Ferrari. Production of the FXX began in 2005. Overview The FXX uses some technology demonstrated on the Enzo Ferrari and combines it with new developments from Ferrari and its suppliers. However, the car is only a part of the overall FXX program. Customers pay GB£2 million, but are only allowed to drive the car on special track days which are approved by Ferrari. After they drive the car, the owners are entitled to be debriefed by Ferrari on the car's performance.
