Veldin Karić
Veldin Karić (born 16 November 1974) is a Croatian manager and former professional footballer. He played for a number of Croatian sides during his career but is mainly remembered for his time at Varteks (1997–2004) and a short spell with local powerhouse Dinamo Zagreb (2004–2005). During his career he also had stints with Torino in Italy and Lugano in Switzerland. Playing career Club Born in Slavonski Brod in present-day Croatia, Karić started playing football at nearby Bosanski Brod, a town across the river Sava in today's Bosnia and Herzegovina, coming from the village of Gornje Kolibe. He was brought to the club in 1986, alongside his cousins Edin Mujčin and Zemir Mujčin by coach Miroslav Buljan. Slavonski Brod
Slavonski Brod (), commonly shortened to simply Brod, is a city in eastern Croatia, near the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Being one of the principal cities in the historical regions of Slavonia and Posavina, Slavonski Brod was the 7th largest city in the country, with a population of 59,141 at the 2011 census. Edin Mujčin
Edin Mujčin (born 14 January 1970) is a Bosnian retired footballer. Mujčin moved to Croatia during the Bosnian War. He holds the Croatian citizenship. Club career Mujčin spent most of his career with Croatian team Dinamo Zagreb, winning several national titles and appearing in both UEFA Champions League and UEFA Cup. He spent his last two seasons at NK Kamen Ingrad in the Croatian first division, before retiring from professional football following their relegation in 2007. The Sava (; , ; sr-cyr, Сава, hu, Száva) is a river in Central and Southeast Europe, a right-bank and the longest tributary of the Danube. It flows through Slovenia, Croatia and along its border with Bosnia and Herzegovina, and finally through Serbia, feeding into the Danube in its capital, Belgrade.
