Veerabhimanyu
''Veerabhimanyu'' is a 1965 Indian Telugu-language Hindu mythological film produced by Sunderlal Nahta and Doondi and directed by V. Madhusudhana Rao. It stars N. T. Rama Rao, Shobhan Babu and Kanchana, with music composed by K. V. Mahadevan. The film was recorded as a ''Super Hit'' at the box office. It was simultaneously filmed in Tamil as '' Veera Abhimanyu'', with slightly different cast. The film had its climax scene shot in Eastmancolor. The film is considered a breakthrough for Shobhan Babu. Plot The film begins with Arjuna describing the ''Padmavyuha'' i.e. game plan in the lotus shape to Subhadra which Abhimanyu in her womb is overhearing. Veera Abhimanyu
''Veera Abhimanyu'' is a 1965 Indian Tamil language, Tamil-language Hindu mythological film directed by V. Madhusudhana Rao and produced by Sunderlal Nahta and Doondi. Based on Abhimanyu, a character from the Indian epic ''Mahabharata'', the film stars Gemini Ganesan leading an ensemble cast, including A. V. M. Rajan portraying the title character. Sobhan Babu (born Uppu Sobhana Chalapathi Rao; 14 January 1937 – 20 March 2008) was an Indian actor known for his works in Telugu cinema.Bangaru Panjaram in Venditera Paatalu, Krishnasastri Sahityam, third volume, Vishalandhra Publishing House, Hyderabad, pp.78-82. Vasundhara Devi (born 16 August 1939), known by her stage name Kanchana, is an Indian actress who worked in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada films, in addition to Malayalam and Hindi films. Early life and Career Kanchana was born as Vasundhra Devi on 16 August 1939 in Madras, Tamil Nadu of India to a Telugu-speaking family. Her father suffered business losses, and she went to work as an air hostess to support her family, when she was discovered by a friend of film director C. V. Sridhar on a plane where he was a passenger, who later suggested her to him. Sridhar gave her the lead role in his film ''Kaadhalikka Neramillai'' in 1963 and changed her name to Kanchana, since there was already another actress named Vasundhara Devi, mother of actress Vyjayanthimala. ''Yudhishthira'' (Sanskrit: युधिष्ठिर, IAST: ''Yudhiṣṭhira'') is the eldest among the five Pandava brothers. He is mentioned in the ancient epic Mahabharata. Doondeswara Rao Pothina (9 June 1932 – 1 January 2007), more popularly known as Doondi, was an Indian film producer. He was described as one of the pioneer film personalities of the 1960s Telugu film industry. Doondi produced and directed about 29 films in Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. In 2005, he also served as the Nandi Awards Committee Chairman. Early life Doondeswara was born into an affluent family, the son of Pothina Srinivasa Rao and his wife Achchaayyamma.
