And she never stopped winning, having accumulated 12 state titles and 5 national titles in the various base categories, the most significant being his victories in the Santa Catarina Absolute Youth Championship, Blumenau, 2006 and in the Brazilian Youth Championship, held in Taubaté, in the same year. The 38th Chess Olympiad (german: Die 38. Schacholympiade), organized by FIDE and comprising an open and a women's tournament, as well as several other events designed to promote the game of chess, took place from 12 to 25 November 2008 in Dresden, Germany. There were 146 teams in the open event and 111 in the women's event. In total, 1277 players were registered. Both tournament sections were officiated by international arbiter Ignatius Leong (Singapore). In a change from recent Olympiads, the number of rounds of the Swiss system were reduced from 13 to 11 with accelerated pairings. The field of sixteen played a series of two-game single-elimination matches to determine the finalists. Rafael Duailibe Leitão (born 28 December 1979) is a Brazilian chess player. He is a grandmaster in both over-the-board chess and correspondence chess. Leitão is a seven-time Brazilian champion. He competed in the FIDE World Championship in 1999, 2000 and 2004 and in the FIDE World Cup in 2005, 2007, 2009, 2013 and 2015. Chess career Leitão won the World Youth Chess Championship in the U12 category in 1991 and in the U18 category in 1996.
