''Vande Mataram'' () is a 1985 Indian Telugu-language film written and directed by T. Krishna, and produced Krishna Chitra. It stars Vijayashanti and Rajasekhar, with music composed by Chakravarthy. The film is the debut of actor Rajasekhar into the Telugu film industry. The popular song ''Vandemataram'' in the film, written by C. Narayana Reddy was first written much earlier, published in a magazine, made popular by singers of ''Praja Natya Mandali''. Vijayashanti
Vijayashanti (born 24 June 1966) is an Indian actress, producer and politician. In a film career spanning 40 years, she has acted in 187 feature films in a variety of roles in various languages predominantly in Telugu, Tamil, in addition to Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam films. She won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her work as a "super cop" in '' Kartavyam'' (1990), for depicting both aggression and feminity with balance and restraint. Kurumaddali Lakshmi Narasimha Rao (7 August 1947 – 16 September 2012), better known by his stage name Suthi Velu, was an Indian actor and comedian known for his works in Telugu cinema.
