The Vancouver Metro Soccer League (VMSL) is a soccer men's league operating in British Columbia, Canada primarily in the Lower Mainland area. History The league is an amateur league, and does not compete against or promote teams to the Canadian Soccer Pyramid. The Premier Division provides the highest level of amateur play in British Columbia. This league has produced several British Columbia Soccer Association Province Cup Champions, including the last 9 consecutive champions. In 2007, the league also produced a runner-up to the Open Canada Cup in Columbus Clan FC. The Canadian Soccer Association (Canada Soccer) is the governing body of soccer in Canada. Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club
Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club (''CMFSC''), formerly known as ''FC Xtreme'' and ''Tri-Cities Xtreme'', are a Canadian men's and women's soccer club soccer team, founded in the city of Coquitlam, British Columbia in 2003. The team is a member of the Pacific Coast Soccer League. The Xtreme play their home matches at Dr. Charles Best Secondary School, and previously played at Percy Perry Stadium; both facilities feature newly installed FieldTurf surfaces. Since their founding, the Xtreme have been a dominant force in the PCSL, winning the Dave Fryatt Challenge Cup in 2003 (beating Surrey United), 2004 (beating the Victoria Stars) and 2007 (beating the Whitecaps FC Reserves). Columbus FC is a Canadian association football, soccer club based in Vancouver, British Columbia currently playing in the Premier division of the Vancouver Metro Soccer League. Ivor Evans (born 23 January 1966) is a Fijian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Ivor Evans started his career in his hometown team Labasa F.C., and then he played for Fiji giants Ba F.C. In 1987, he arrived in North America. Primarily he got a brief spell with MISL team St. Louis Steamers, but he didn't play any match. Next he was selected by Vancouver 86ers in an open trial. Steve Kindel (born February 25, 1977) is a Canadian soccer player who currently plays for Surrey United Firefighters. Career Club Kindel was a former standout at Simon Fraser University, where he won the 1997 NAIA Pacific Northwest Conference Player of the Year. After CIS soccer he turned pro by signing with the Vancouver Whitecaps in 1997 where he would play until 1998. After USL soccer he left for Europe where he had a brief stint with R.A.E.C. Jeff Clarke (Canadian Soccer)
Jeffrey Clarke (born October 18, 1977) is a Canadian former professional soccer player, who is currently playing for Surrey United Firefighters and works as head coach by Surrey United Women. Clarke earned nineteen caps, scoring one goal, for the Canadian national team. He most recently played for the Vancouver Whitecaps in the First Division of the United Soccer Leagues. Jason Jordan (born May 30, 1978) is a retired professional soccer player who formerly played for the Vancouver Whitecaps in the First Division of the United Soccer Leagues. He is currently Vancouver's third all-time leading scorer with 74 goals in 207 games. Jason Jordan is also the Technical Director of the CSA National Youth Licensed Club, Fusion Football Club. Alfredo Valente (born November 6, 1980) is a former Canadian association football, soccer midfielder who formerly played for the Vancouver Whitecaps (1986–2010), Vancouver Whitecaps of the USL First Division (USL-1). Valente played 11 seasons with the 86ers/Whitecaps organization, winning USL championships with the club in United Soccer Leagues 2006, 2006 and United Soccer Leagues 2008, 2008.
