Vana-Vigala
Vana-Vigala is a village in Märjamaa Parish, Rapla County in western Estonia. Since 2002 a metal festival Hard Rock Laager is held in Vana-Vigala every summer. Vigala river flows through Vana-Vigala. On the river, there has been appearing natural phenomena known as Ice Circle of Vana-Vigala. Vana-Vigala Manor Vana-Vigala estate (german: Fickel) dates from 1420, when a first, fortified manor house was built in the vicinity of the present building. The present-day building however was erected in 1772–1775. It is built on soft ground and has had to be strengthened on several occasions. In 1858 and 1864, restorations were carried out and the façade changed. During the revolution of 1905, rioters put fire to the house, with heavy damage ensuing, including the loss of the 20,000 volume library. Tarvi Thomberg
Tarvi Thomberg (born 10 May 1982) is a retired amateur Estonian Greco-Roman wrestler, who competed in the men's light heavyweight category. Thomberg represented his nation Estonia at the 2004 Summer Olympics, and has also held three Estonian and Nordic championship titles in the light heavyweight division. Before retiring from the sport in 2008, Thomberg trained as a member of the wrestling team for MK Juhan Märjamaa under his personal coach Henn Põlluste. Thomberg was born in Vana-Vigala, and qualified for the men's 84 kg class at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece by receiving a berth from the 2003 World Wrestling Championships in Créteil, France. Counties ( et, maakond, plural ') are the first-level administrative subdivisions of Estonia. Estonian territory is composed of 15 counties, including 13 on the mainland and 2 on islands. Märjamaa Parish
Märjamaa Parish ( et, Märjamaa vald) is an Estonian municipality located in Rapla County. It had a population of 7,015 (as of November 2012) and an area of 1,164 km2 (336.54 mi2). Märjamaa Parish was the biggest municipality in Estonia by area. In 2017 it was merged with Vigala Parish and three villages from Raikküla Parish to form a new parish (also named Märjamaa Parish).
