Van is an unincorporated community in Harney County, Oregon, United States. It is along Van– Drewsey Road about northeast of Burns, in the Wolf Creek Valley. Van post office was established in 1891 and named for local settler Van Middlesworth. The office closed in 1953. As of 2008, the former United States Forest Service Van Guard Station was for sale. Yarmouth, Maine
Yarmouth is a town in Cumberland County, Maine, United States, twelve miles north of the state's largest city, Portland. When originally settled in 1636, as North Yarmouth, it was part of Massachusetts, and remained as such for 213 years. A semi-arid climate, semi-desert climate, or steppe climate is a dry climate sub-type.
