Vamanapuram River
Vamanapuram River is an long river in southern Kerala that flows through the northern parts of Thiruvananthapuram district. It is also the longest river in Thiruvananthapuram district. The river is also known as "Kollampuzhayaru" and "Attingalaru".The two tributaries of this river are the Upper Chittar & Manjaprayaar streams which originates near Ponmudi hill station. Course The river originates in the Chemunjimotta hills (alt. 1860m) hills on the southern side of the Western Ghats, and flows entirely through Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala. It course ends in Anjengo Lake (Anchuthengu Lake) near Chirayinkeezhu. The river flows along Attingal municipality, Karette, Palode, Vithura and Kallar. ''Thiru Aaraattu Kavu Devi Temple'', Kollampuzha that is connected with Travancore royal family is situated on the banks of this river. Kadakkavoor
Kadakkavoor is a developing special grade town consisting central government postal office, railway station, sub treasury, police station, electricity board, telecom office and banks; Thiruvananthapuram district in the state of Kerala, India. This commercial and residential area is situated about 32 km north from the capital city Thiruvananthapuram and 33 km south of Kollam. Varkala, is a major coastal municipality situated in the northern suburb of Trivandrum, capital city of the Indian state of Kerala. Meenmutty Falls (Thiruvananthapuram)
Meenmutty Falls is a waterfall located from Trivandrum city in Thiruvananthapuram District in the Indian state of Kerala, India. The falls are located near the Ponmudi hill station, Thiruvananthapuram district and Agastya Mala Biosphere reserves. This waterfalls is situated along the upper riparian course of Vamanapuram River. Location There is no transportation is available so visitors have to trek 2 km through the dense forests to reach the falls. The nearby road head is Kallar on Vithura- Ponmudi road. There are other waterfalls like Kombaikani Falls (that lies upstream of the Meenmutti Falls), Thavakkal Waterfalls and Vaazhvanthol waterfalls nearby this falls. Vithura
Vithura, also known as the Hill City Of Trivandrum, is located 36 km from Thiruvananthapuram capital of the Kerala state in India. Anchuthengu
Anchuthengu ("Five Coconut Palms"), formerly known as Anjengo, Angengo or Anjenga, is a coastal panchayath and town in the Thiruvananthapuram District of Kerala. It is situated 9km south-west of Varkala Town along Trivandrum - Varkala - Kollam coastal highway. The town contains old Portuguese-style churches, a lighthouse, a 100-year-old convent and school, tombs of Dutch and British sailors and soldiers, and the remains of the Anchuthengu Fort.
