Valley Ridge is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is located at the western edge of the city, south of the Bow River and north of the Trans-Canada Highway. The Valley Ridge golf course is located in the northern part of the community. The community is located on the former site of the Happy Valley Campground a fun park with slides, which was a major destination for visitors to Calgary until it was closed in the 1980s; the campground was located where the golf course is now situated. Canada Olympic Park
Canada Olympic Park (COP), formerly known as Paskapoo Ski Hill, is a ski hill and multi-purpose training and competition facility located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, owned and operated by WinSport. It is currently used both for high performance athletic training and for recreational purposes by the general public. Canada Olympic Park was one of the venues for the 1988 Winter Olympics, being the primary venue for ski jumping, bobsleigh, and luge. Greenwood/Greenbriar is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. Bearspaw is rural area in southern Alberta, Canada within in Rocky View County. It has a population of 5,567 (2018). The original inhabitants of the Bearspaw area were the Niitsitapi or Blackfoot nation. The Blackfoot nation consisted of four different tribes, Siksika, Piegan Blackfeet, Piikani Nation and Kaninai (Blood Indians). To the south-east of Bearspaw is the City of Calgary, and the Town of Cochrane is to its west, along Highway 1A.
