Mats Valk (born 4 May 1996) is a Dutch Rubik's Cube speedsolver. He broke the Rubik's cube single solve world record twice with times of 5.55 seconds in 2013 and 4.74 seconds in 2016. He won the Rubik's Cube European Championship in 2018 and was runner-up for 3x3x3 at the Rubik's Cube World Championships in 2013 and 2015. Biography Valk was born and raised in Amstelveen, the Netherlands, a suburb of the Dutch capital Amsterdam. Valk is most famous for breaking the Rubik's cube world record twice and being the runner-up at both the Rubik's cube world championships of 2013 and 2015. Valka
Valka (; german: Walk) is a town and municipality in northern Latvia, on the border with Estonia along both banks of the river Pedele. Valka and the Estonian town Valga are twins, separated by the Estonian/Latvian border but using the slogan "One Town, Two Countries". The border dividing the Livonian town of Walk was marked out in 1920 by an international jury headed by British Colonel Stephen George Tallents. With the expansion of the Schengen Agreement and abolition of the Estonian/Latvian border in 2007, it was announced that common public bus transport would be established between Valka and Valga. Also, all border crossing-points were removed and roads and fences opened. Frederick Valk (10 June 1895 – 23 July 1956) was a German-born Jewish stage and screen actor of Czech Jewish descent who fled to the United Kingdom in the late 1930s to escape Nazi persecution, and subsequently became a naturalised British citizen. Despite making his later career in the English-speaking world, Valk never attempted to shed his heavy accent in either his stage or film work, and it became a trademark, particularly in film where he was often the first choice for a role which called for a German or generic Central European accent. Curtis Valk (born February 8, 1993) is a Canadian- Kazakhstani professional ice hockey centre. He is currently playing with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Ria Valk (born 11 February 1941 in Eindhoven) is a Dutch singer, presenter, actress, lyricist and painter. She is best known as a singer of cheerful and comical songs. She acted in the TV series ''Zeg 'ns Aaa'' and paints figurative art. Biography In 1949 the family moved to Amsterdam East. She learned to play the guitar from a neighbour. If Valk learned to play the guitar within a month, she was allowed to keep the guitar. And so it happened. Garry Valk (born November 27, 1967) is a Canadian broadcaster and former professional ice hockey player. After finishing his playing career, Valk became a television analyst. He is a senior research fellow and head of archaeological laboratory at Tartu University specialising in Estonia in the Middle Ages.
