Valerio Festi
Valerio Festi is an Italian artistic director and producer. He is also the Chief Executive Officer at Studio Festi. Biography Valerio obtained his degree in 1978 at the University of Bologna. He began his artistic career by designing and staging urban celebrations. In the early 1980s, he gained fame by revamping the Italian tradition of light installations and of Baroque fireworks. Studio Festi is an Italian artistic project and production centre bringing into being shows and grand installations. Founded in 1982, by Valerio Festi and Monica Maimone, Studio Festi operates from its main offices in Velate (Varese, Italy), its workshop in Venegono Superiore (Varese) and, in 2010, it set up a branch in São Paulo, Brazil. Monica Maimone
Monica Maimone (born 5 December 1945), is an Italian theater director and playwright. She started her career in theater in 1966; in 1968 she created the theatre group called ''Nuova Scena'' together with Dario Fo and Franca Rame, following the model of Erwin Piscator's "Volksbũhne". The most important production of ''Nuova Scena'' was ''Mistero Buffo'' by Dario Fo. She directed and produced theatrical events at Salone Pier Lombardo, Milan (now Teatro Franco Parenti), with Franco Parenti and Andrée Ruth Shammah. In 1977, she became the director of the theater. In 1982, Maimone created Studio Festi with Valerio Festi. Since then, she has been the director and the playwright of all Studio Festi performances.
