Valentin Plătăreanu
Valentin Plătăreanu (; 15 November 1936 – 16 April 2019) was a Romanian actor, Theatre director, director and drama teacher. Biography From 1958 to 1980, he played more than 30 parts at the Theatre of Youth (Teatrul Tineretului) in Piatra Neamț, then at the National Theatre Bucharest, and has served as their Deputy Director. In 1978–79 he directed ''Hernani (drama), Hernani'', by Victor Hugo; ''Much Ado About Nothing'', by William Shakespeare; and ''The Rivals'', by Richard Brinsley Sheridan. Personal life In 1983, Plătăreanu left Romania and settled in Germany with his wife, Doina, and his daughter, Alexandra Maria Lara. ''Cuibul salamandrelor'', also known as ''Oil!'' and ''Oil - The Billion Dollar Fire'', is a 1977 Romanian-Italian action film directed by Mircea Drăgan. Plot An International petroleum company called Consolidated Oil covertly sets fire to an oil well in the Sahara because the government of the North African nation won't comply with their demands. Due to the extent of the damage, oil prices rise sharply. The company's president Mr. Stewart (Ray Milland) assigns John Carter (Stuart Whitman) to deflect suspicion. However, when Carter arrives on location, a company representative hinders his efforts and implies to him that the fire was started on purpose. Consolidated Oil hires a Romanian firefighting crew with little experience in oil well fires, but the Romanian specialists team up with Carter and find proof of arson. Schimanski
Horst Schimanski is a homicide detective with a leading role in the German crime television series ''Tatort'', as well as the spin-off ''Schimanski''. Portrayed by Götz George, the character made his debut in the 1981 episode and appeared in 29 episodes until 1991. Doris Dörrie (; born 26 May 1955) is a German film director, producer and author. Biography Born in Hanover, Dörrie completed her secondary education there in 1973. The same year, she began a two-year attendance in film studies in the drama department of the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. She then studied at the New School of Social Research in New York. She worked odd jobs in cafés and as a film presenter in New York's Goethe-Institut. In 1975, back in Germany, Dörrie began to study at the University of Television and Film Munich. She wrote film reviews for the '' Süddeutsche Zeitung'', where she was also assistant editor. Hannes Stöhr (born 1970) is a German film director and screenwriter. He studied scriptwriting and directing at the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin from 1994 to 1999.
