Valdeir Vieira
Valdeir "Badú" Vieira (born 11 July 1944 in Marília, São Paulo (state), São Paulo) is a Brazilian Football (soccer), football manager. Career Playing career Like many Brazilian players in the 1960s, Badu was discovered in the ever-expanding futsal scene. It is from the indoors that Vieira gets his nickname "Badu", which describes a specific way of scoring a goal. He signed his first contract as a professional with the 2nd division Dracena F.C. at age 17. Two years later he played as attacker in the 1st division with CE Aymoré – São Leopoldo, where Luiz Felipe Scolari was just starting his career as a defender in the youth team. Badu was later the first Brazilian to play respectively for the clubs: Central Español (Uruguay), Hibernians F.C. (Malta) and Croissant Club Sigois (Algeria). Marília () is a Brazilian municipality in the midwestern region of the state of São Paulo. Its distance from the state capital São Paulo is by highway, by railway and in a straight line. The 1998 FIFA World Cup was the 16th FIFA World Cup, the football world championship for men's national teams. The finals tournament was held in France from 10 June to 12 July 1998. The country was chosen as the host nation by FIFA for the second time in the history of the tournament, defeating Morocco in the bidding process. Central Español Fútbol Club, usually known simply as Central Español is a Uruguayan football club based in Montevideo. History The F.U.F era Together with Peñarol, Central founded FUF (Uruguayan football federation) in 1923 after being expelled from AUF. The FUF even made a parallel Uruguay national team (dissident to AUF) that played several international games based on Peñarol and Central squads. Luiz Felipe Scolari
Luiz Felipe Scolari (; born 9 November 1948), also known as Felipão ("Big Phil"), is a Brazilian football manager and former player. He is the current manager of Athletico Paranaense. Scolari was a defender during his playing days, and notably represented Caxias before moving to a managerial role in 1982. After leading the Brazil national team to a FIFA World Cup win in 2002, he was manager of the Portugal national team from July 2003 to June 2008. He led Portugal to the final of UEFA Euro 2004, which they lost 0–1 to Greece, and to a fourth-place finish in the 2006 World Cup. Scolari also managed Portugal through UEFA Euro 2008, but resigned after a 2–3 loss to Germany in the second round.
