Vajramuni
Sadananda Sagar (11 May 1944 – 5 January 2006), better known by his stage name Vajramuni, was an Indian actor who appeared in Kannada films. He portrayed negative characters during most of his career and was considered one of Kannada cinema's finest actors. Over his career, he came to be known for his "thundering voice and sterling performance that earned him the epithets, ''Nata Bhairava'' and ''Nata Bhayankara''. Vajramuni began his career as a stage actor and gained popularity with his portrayal of Ravana in Kanagal Prabhakar Shastri's play ''Prachanda Ravana''. He made his film debut in 1969 with Puttanna Kanagal's ''Mallammana Pavada''. His pairing with Rajkumar, with the latter as the lead, in the 1970s came to be widely appreciated, with films such as ''Sipayi Ramu'' (1972), ''Sampathige Savaal'' (1974), ''Premada Kanike'' (1976), ''Bahaddur Gandu'' (1976), ''Giri Kanye'' (1977) and '' Shankar Guru'' (1978). ''Sampathige Savaal'' () is a 1974 Indian Kannada-language drama film directed by A. V. Seshagiri Rao and produced by A. N. Murthy, based on the play ''Saahukaara'' written by B. P. Dhuttharagi. The film stars Dr. Rajkumar, Rajkumar, Vajramuni and Manjula (Kannada actress), Manjula. The screenplay, dialogues and lyrics for the soundtracks were written by Chi. Udaya Shankar. The film was a musical blockbuster with all the tracks composed by G. K. Venkatesh considered evergreen hits. ''Bahaddur Gandu'' () is a 1976 Indian Kannada-language swashbuckler film directed by A. V. Sheshagiri Rao, starring Rajkumar, Jayanthi, Aarathi and Vajramuni. ''Mayura'' is a 1975 Indian Kannada-language historical drama film, directed by Vijay. Shubraveshti Ramaswamiah Seetharama Sharma (1 December 1933 – 5 June 1985), known popularly as S. R. Puttanna Kanagal, was an Indian filmmaker known for his work in Kannada cinema. He is often considered one of Kannada cinema's most influential filmmakers. Mallammana Pavaada (Meaning: The miracle of Mallamma) is a 1969 Kannada film, directed by Puttanna Kanagal. The film is based on the novel ''Ardhaangi'' written by B. Puttaswamayya. The screenplay was by P.
