Ved Pratap Vaidik ( ) ( hi, वेद प्रताप वैदिक; 30 December 1944 – 14 March 2023) was an Indian journalist, political analyst, and freelance columnist. He worked with the Press Trust of India, and was the founder and editor of its Hindi news agency "Bhasha". Before that he was the editor for views for the ''Navbharat Times'' of the Times Group. Later he was the chairman of Bhartiya Bhasha Sammelan. He was born in Indore on 30 December 1944, and died in Gurugram, Haryana on 14 March 2023, at age 78. Lala Lajpat Rai (28 January 1865 - 17 November 1928) was an Indian author, freedom fighter, and politician. He played a vital role in the Indian Independence movement. He was popularly known as Punjab Kesari. He was one of the three members of the Lal Bal Pal trimurti. He was also associated with management activities of Punjab National Bank in early years and Lakshmi Insurance Company in their early stages in 1894. He died of a severe head injury after 18 days of trauma injuries during a baton charge by police in Lahore, when he led a peaceful protest march against the all-British Simon Commission Indian constitutional reforms. Purushottam Das Tandon (; 1 August 1882 – 1 July 1962) was a freedom fighter from Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. He is widely remembered for his opposition to the partition of India, as well as efforts in achieving the ''Official Language of India'' status for Hindi. He was customarily given the title ''Rajarshi'' (etymology: Raja + Rishi = Royal Saint). He was popularly known as UP Gandhi. Govind Vallabh Pant
Govind Ballabh Pant (10 September 1887 – 7 March 1961) was an Indian freedom fighter and the first chief minister of Uttar Pradesh. Alongside Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and Vallabh Bhai Patel, Pant was a key figure in the movement for India's Independence and later a pivotal figure in the Indian Government. He was one of the foremost political leaders of Uttar Pradesh (then known as United Provinces) and a key player in the unsuccessful movement to establish Hindi as the official language of Indian Union.
