Vaale is a municipality in the district of Steinburg, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Sports The town has a football team, SV Vaalia Vaale, who play in the Kreisklasse A Westküste West. They were in 10th when the 2020–21 season was cancelled. SV Vaalia Vaale II play in the Kreisklasse C Westküste Süd/West 3, in 8th before the cancellation of the season. Steinburg
Steinburg () is a district in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, administered from Itzehoe. It is bounded by (from the west and clockwise) the districts of Dithmarschen, Rendsburg-Eckernförde, Segeberg and Pinneberg, and by the Elbe River (and the district of Stade beyond). History The district's name is derived from a medieval castle called Steinburg, where the reeves ruled by order of their lords, the dukes of Holstein. This castle was first mentioned in 1307, and it was abandoned and demolished in 1630. However, Steinburg remained the name of the region, and its new centre became Glückstadt before gradually moving to the town of Itzehoe. When Schleswig-Holstein became a province of Prussia in 1867, the district of Steinburg was established. The borders remained unchanged until 1970 when the newly founded town Schenefeld (formerly part of Rendsburg district) joined Steinburg. Itzehoer SV
Itzehoer SV was a German association football club from the town of Itzehoe, Schleswig-Holstein. The club's greatest success was promotion to the tier-one Oberliga Nord, where it spent a single season in 1950–51. It also played in the then-second division Regionalliga Nord from 1965 to 1974. Itzehoe also made five appearances in the first round of the German Cup, the DFB-Pokal, advancing to the second round just once, in 1977–78. In later times the club suffered from financial difficulties, merging with another local club and changing its name to Itzehoer FC but reverting to the old name in early 2015 until its folding in 2018. Bruchsal (; orig. Bruohselle, Bruaselle, historically known in English as Bruxhall; South Franconian: ''Brusel'') is a city at the western edge of the Kraichgau, approximately 20 km northeast of Karlsruhe in the state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Brunsbüttel
Brunsbüttel () is a town in the district of Dithmarschen, in Schleswig-Holstein, northern Germany that lies at the mouth of the Elbe river, near the North Sea. It is the location of the western entrance to the Kiel Canal. History The earliest reference to the town is in a document dated 14 July 1286. With the construction of the Kiel Canal (german: Nord-Ostsee-Kanal) in 1911, the town was divided in two. During the opening days of World War II, on 4 September 1939, the No. 149 Squadron RAF carried out the second bombing of that war, targeting warships near the town. Economy Brunsbüttel became an industrial area in the 1960s and 1970s.
