VIP Road, Kanpur
VIP Road or Parwati Bagla Road (formerly ''Amherst Street'') is a major arterial road in Kanpur, India. It connects Meghdoot Trisection at Mall Road with Grand Trunk Road at Rawatpur. The road has tall decorated walls on both of its sides. The road houses the bungalows of government officials of the city including the District Magistrate of Kanpur District. Elgin Mills which is the first cotton mill in Kanpur is situated on this road. Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, the only Agricultural University of Uttar Pradesh state is also present here. Subedar is a rank of junior commissioned officer in the Indian Army; a senior non-commissioned officer in the Pakistan Army, and formerly a Viceroy's commissioned officer in the British Indian Army. The Mall or Mall Road, also known as Mahatma Gandhi Road is a central business district of Indian city of Kanpur. The area houses many shopping complexes, hotels, MNCs and shopping stores. Grand Trunk Road
The Grand Trunk Road (formerly known as Uttarapath, Sarak-e-Azam, Shah Rah-e-Azam, Badshahi Sarak, and Long Walk) is one of Asia's oldest and longest major roads. Green Park Stadium is an international standards cricket stadium of Kanpur, India. Its seating capacity is 32,000 seats. It is the home ground of Uttar Pradesh cricket team. This arena is an International Test match venue. Green Park is under the control of the Sports Department Uttar Pradesh. It has hosted international cricket matches in both of Test and ODI format.
