Biofuel
Biofuel is a fuel that is produced over a short time span from biomass, rather than by the very slow natural processes involved in the formation of fossil fuels, such as oil. Biomethane
Renewable natural gas (RNG), also known as sustainable natural gas (SNG) or biomethane, is a biogas which has been upgraded to a quality similar to fossil natural gas and having a methane concentration of 90% or greater. By increasing the concentration of methane to a similar level as natural gas, it becomes possible to distribute the gas to customers via the existing gas grid and use in existing appliances. Renewable natural gas is a subset of synthetic natural gas or substitute natural gas (SNG). Dev Sanyal (born 4 September 1965) is the Chief Executive Officer of VARO Energy, a diversified energy company headquartered in Zug, Switzerland (since 1 January 2022). Prior to this, Dev had a 32-year global career with BP plc. Early life and education Dev Sanyal was born in New Delhi, India and grew up in Darjeeling according to Bloomberg. His father, K.S.B. Sanyal, was the Chairman of the Andrew Yule Group. Dev Sanyal studied at St. Paul’s School, Darjeeling and St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. He graduated from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University with a Master’s degree in Politics and Economics.
