Vũ Thành An
Vũ Thành An (born 7 August 1992) is a Vietnamese fencer. He was chosen to compete for Vietnam at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, where he was the flag-bearer for Vietnam at the opening ceremony. At the Olympic Games in Rio, he defeated Diego Occhiuzzi of Italy in the first round of the men's sabre competition, 15-12. He was then defeated by Vincent Anstett Vincent Anstett (born 26 July 1982) is a French sabre fencer. Aliaksandr Mikalayevich Buikevich ( be, Аляксандар Мікалаевіч Буйкевіч, russian: Александр микалаевич Буйкевич; born 19 November 1984) is a Belarusian sabre fencer, European champion in 2008 and team silver medallist at the 2011 World Championships in Catania. At the 2008 Summer Olympics, he reached the quarter-finals in the individual sabre, losing to Romania's Mihai Covaliu, while the Belarusian sabre team also reached the quarter-finals. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the men's sabre, but was defeated in the table of 16 by Romania's Rareș Dumitrescu. The Belarusian team again reached the quarter-finals. Anstett's greatest accomplishment is winning the gold medal in the sabre team event at the 2006 World Fencing Championships after beating Ukraine in the final. He accomplished this with his teammates Nicolas Lopez, Julien Pillet and Boris Sanson.
