Vítězslav Hálek
Vítězslav Hálek (; 5 April 1835, in Odolena Voda – 8 October 1874), also known as Vincenc Hálek, was a Czech poet, writer, journalist, dramatist and theatre critic. He is considered one of the most important representatives of the May School, along with Jan Neruda and Karolína Světlá. Life After completing his studies at gymnasium in Prague Hálek refused to go on to study at seminary. He didn't finish his philosophical studies and instead decided to become a writer. Beginning in 1861, he worked as an editor in ''Národní listy'', later helping publish newspapers and journals (''Lumír, Zlatá Praha, Květy'' etc.). He worked as a journalist until his death in Prague (1874). He died suddenly of pneumonia. Style In his time, his writing was very popular, in part due to his optimistic and relaxed writing style. Vítězslav Ďuriš
Vítězslav "Slava" Ďuriš (born 5 January 1954) is a Czechoslovakian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He began his career with Skoda Plzen in the Czechoslovak First Ice Hockey League, where he played from 1975 to 1980. He then played 89 games in the National Hockey League with the Toronto Maple Leafs during the 1980–81 and 1982–83 seasons. Ďuriš returned to Europe and played in the German Eishockey-Bundesliga from 1983 until 1991. Vítězslav Sedlák
Vítězslav Sedlák (born 5 February 1991) is a Czech darts player and a member of the team Mustang Knínice. Career Vítězslav started playing darts at the age of 18, before that he played table football in which he became National Junior Champion. He started to play darts in local pub leagues, soon after he participated in official league events. In soft-tip darts he managed to win twice in TOP tournament of National Grand Prix and twice on Grand Prix itself. In 2019 he represented Czech Republic in European championship and won the title. In steel darts, his biggest achievement so far is a victory in Czech Cup in 2020. In early 2020, he took part in PDC European Q-School, he was eliminated in the last 256 three times and once in the last 64. Vítězslav Gebas (; born 24 March 1984 in Hradec Králové, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech slalom canoeist who has competed since the early 2000s. Vítězslav Veselý () (born 27 February 1983) is a Czech javelin thrower. He won two bronze medals at the Olympic games, in 2012 and 2020. Career He finished ninth at the 2002 World Junior Championships. He threw a personal best throw of 81.20 metres during the qualifying round at the 2008 Olympic Games and finished twelfth in the final. He was less successful at his first World Championships in Athletics the following year, failing to make the final with a throw of 75.76 m. Vítězslav Lavička (; born 30 April 1963) is a Czech football manager and former player. Playing career As a player, Lavička played for several Czech clubs, including Škoda Plzeň, RH Cheb and Sparta Prague. He played one season towards the end of his career in the Czech First League after the Czech Republic's national league commenced play in 1993. Managerial career In 2006 and 2007, he was voted Coach of the Year at the Czech Golden Ball awards and Coach of the Year in 2006. Vítězslav Mácha (6 April 1948 – 29 May 2023) was a Czech wrestler. Mácha was born in Krmelín on 6 April 1948. He won an Olympic gold medal in Greco-Roman wrestling in 1972, competing for Czechoslovakia. He won a gold medal at the 1974 and 1977 World Wrestling Championships.
