Vélizy-Villacoublay () is a commune in the Yvelines department in the Île-de-France in north-central France. It is located in the south-western suburbs of Paris from the center and east of Versailles. Its inhabitants are called Véliziens. Geography Established on the Parisian plateau, the town of Vélizy-Villacoublay borders Meudon in the north-east, Clamart in the east, Bièvres in the south-east, Viroflay in the north-west, and Chaville in the north. Vélizy-Villacoublay is a very urbanized town bordering the Meudon forest, which spans over of communal land. A86 Autoroute
A86 (sometimes called "Paris super-périphérique") is the second ring road around Paris, France. It follows an irregular path around Paris with the distance from the city centre ( Notre Dame) varying in the range. The south-western section of A86 contains one of the world's longest urban motorway tunnels ( of continuous tunnel), opened in two parts in 2009 and 2011. The tunnel is limited to a height of and commercial vehicles are prohibited as a result. Meudon () is a municipality in the southwestern suburbs of Paris, France. It is in the département of Hauts-de-Seine. It is located from the center of Paris. RER C is one of the five lines in the Réseau Express Régional (English: Regional Express Network), a hybrid commuter rail and rapid transit system serving Paris, France and its suburbs. The line crosses the region from north to south.
