Værløse Boldklub (; also known as Værløse BK) is a Danish association football, football club based in the town of Værløse. They play in the seventh-tier Series 1 (Danish football), Series 1 and their home field is the 1,500 capacity Værløse Stadium. History Værløse Boldklub was originally part of IF Værløse, which was founded in 1924. The association football branch was founded in 1950. Værløse Stadium, where the team practice and have their home matches, is centrally located in the townnear Værløsehallerne and is also called "Daugaard Grounds" after the club's first honorary member field inspector Ejvind Daugaard. From 2000, the club won three promotions in a row, from Series 1 (Danish football), Series 1 (2000) via the Zealand Series (2001), ultimately reaching the Denmark Series for the first time in club history after a decisive match against Lyngby Boldklub. Værløse Stadium
Værløse () is a town in Furesø Municipality in the northwestern outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark. As of 1 January 2022, it has a population of 13,069. Situated on the west side of the Hillerød Motorway, between Farum Lake to the north and Søndersø Lake to the south, it is surrounded by forest on three sides. Modern Værløse emerged around Værløse station in the 1950s. The original centre of the parish was the village of Kirke Værløse, located three kilometres to the west. The two communities have now almost merged. History Kirke Værløse is mentioned in 1321–23 as ''Vetherløsa maklæ''. The meaning of the name is unclear but it may be an old name for the lake Søndersø. The suffix ''-løse'' means "area used for grazing in a clearing" ("græsgang i lysning"). The word ''maklæ'' (''magle'') means Freat (''store'').
