Vålerenga Fotball Damer
Vålerenga Fotball Damer is the women's association football, women's football branch of Vålerenga Fotball. Based in Oslo, the team plays in Norway's top league, Toppserien. The team first won promotion to Toppserien in 2011 Norwegian First Division (women), 2011 after earning promotion from the Norwegian First Division (women), First Division. This made Vålerenga the third Norwegian club with both a men's team and a women's team in the top-tier league, and the first club to have its own women's team win promotion to Toppserien, as the two other clubs, Stabæk Fotball and Lillestrøm SK, inherited another club's women's team. In 2020, the club made record by winning the Toppserien and the Norwegian Women's Cup, NM Kvinner, their first major titles after finishing runners-up at the previous editions. Intility Arena
Intility Arena, also referred to as Vålerenga Stadion, is an association football stadium in Oslo, Norway. The stadium is the home stadium for the Vålerenga Fotball, currently playing in the Eliteserien, and it has a seating capacity of 16,555 people. The stadium plans were accepted by the city council of Oslo in 2014 and by EEA in June 2015. Construction started in August 2015, and the stadium opened in September 2017. The stadium was initially called Vålerenga kultur- og idrettspark. History Early grounds From the 1960s till the 1980s and a short period in the end of the 1990s Bislett Stadion was Vålerenga's home ground. Bislet Stadion also hosted speed skating and track and field events in addition to football, and hosted the 1952 Winter Olympics. Thea Bjelde (born 5 June 2000) is a Norwegian footballer who plays as a winger or right-back for Vålerenga and the Norway national team. Club career Early career Bjelde started her career in Sogndal, where she distinguished herself as the only girl on the under-14 team in the Norway Cup. In early 2016, she joined Kaupanger in the 2nd division. Arna-Bjørnar (2016–2021) As a 16-year-old, she was brought to Arna-Bjørnar in the Toppserien. Ally Green (born 17 August 1998) is a footballer who plays as a defender for Norwegian side Vålerenga and the New Zealand national team. Club career Green signed for Sydney FC in Australia's top soccer league, W-League for the 2017-18 season but endured a severe ankle injury and did not play during the season.
