Vulcania (film)
''Vulcania'' is a 2015 dystopian drama film directed by José Skaf from a screenplay by Diego Soto which stars Miquel Fernández and Aura Garrido alongside Ginés GarcÃa Millán, José Sacristán, Ana Wagener, Silvia Abril, Jaime OlÃas, and Rubén Ochandiano. It is a Spanish-French-Swedish international co-production. Plot A dystopian drama set in a isolated community split in two sides working in a foundry, the plot follows Jonás and Marta, who begin to question themselves about their small universe. Cast Production The film is a Spanish-Swedish-French co-production by Zentropa Spain, Zentropa Sweden, and Ran Entertainment. It was shot in Spanish. Shooting locations in Catalonia included Tà rrega, , and Lleida. Release The film premiered at the 48th Sitges Film Festival in October 2015. Aura Garrido Sánchez (born 29 May 1989) is a Spanish film and television actress. She has appeared in such films as ''Stockholm'' as well as the television series '' El ministerio del tiempo''. Early life Garrido was born in Madrid in 1989. Her father Tomás Garrido is a composer and orchestra conductor, and her mother, Pilar Sánchez, is a painter. She took her first piano classes when she was four years old, and soon after, started practicing ballet. She speaks English thanks to having an English-speaking best friend growing up.
