Vugar Bayramov (volleyball)
Vugar Bayramov ( az, Vüqar Bayramov) (born June 13, 1975, Fuzuli District, Azerbaijan SSR) is an economist and the member of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan since 2020. Early life Vugar Bayramov was born on 13 June 1975, in Ashagi Guzlak village in Fuzuli District of Azerbaijan SSR. Firstly, he went to Ashagi Rafadinli village secondary school, then continued at Bunyad Sardarov secondary school of Fuzuli region. He graduated from Physics and Mathematics School in Baku. Bayramov was admitted to Azerbaijan State University of Economics in 1992, and in 1997 he proceeded to the post-graduate school of the same university. He received a Ph.D. in economics in 2002. Vugar Bayramov attended an education program at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Washington between 2002 and 2004. Bayramov speaks English, Russian, Turkish, and Azerbaijani. Fuzuli District
Fuzuli District ( az, Füzuli rayonu) is one of the 66 districts of Azerbaijan. It is located in the south-west of the country and belongs to the Karabakh Economic Region. The district borders the districts of Khojavend, Aghjabadi, Beylagan, Jabrayil, and the Ardabil Province of Iran. Its capital is Fuzuli, however since the city is completely ruined following the First Nagorno-Karabakh War, the current '' de facto'' capital is Horadiz until Fuzuli is rebuilt. As of 2020, the district had a nominal population of 133,800. Gubad Ibadoghlu, also spelled Gubad Ibadoglu, (; born 12 September 1971) is an Azerbaijani anti-corruption advocate, a scholar, a critic of oil and gas industry, and a prominent human rights and environmental defender, who from 2021 has been a research fellow at the London School of Economics. He was supposed to start a new teaching position at TU Dresden in 2023. However, on July 23, 2023 he was arrested in Azerbaijan and remains under investigation.
