''Vražda v salonním coupé'' ( en, Murder in a Parlor Car Compartment) is a stage comedy play in the repertory of the Jára Cimrman Theatre. It was written by Zdeněk Svěrák and Ladislav Smoljak, and co-authorship is credited to the fictional Czechs, Czech inventor, philosopher and dramatist Jára Cimrman. The play premiered on 14 May 1970 in Malostranská beseda, Prague. As of 1986, the play had been performed 556 times. Rudolf Hrušínský
Rudolf Hrušínský (17 October 1920 – 13 April 1994) was a Czech actor. He was one of the most popular Czech actors. Many of his movies such as ''The Good Soldier Švejk'', ''The Cremator'' or '' Capricious Summer'' are considered classics of the Czech cinema. He was awarded the Legion of Honor by France and title ''National Artist'' in Czechoslovakia. Jiří Menzel once described him as "the Czech Jean Gabin." Biography He was born back stage at the theatre in Nová Včelnice on 17 October 1920. His parents were Hermina Červičková and Rudolf Hrušínský (born Rudolf Böhm). His family moved from place to place, but eventually settled in Prague. He studied law school, but dropped out of to pursue acting. Vlastimil Brodský
Vlastimil Brodský (15 December 1920 – 20 April 2002) was a Czech actor. He appeared in more than one hundred films, and is considered a key figure in the postwar development of Czech cinema. One of his best-known roles was as the title character in '' Jakob der Lügner'' for which won the Silver Bear for Best Actor at the 25th Berlin International Film Festival. Petr Čepek (16 September 1940 – 20 September 1994) was a Czech actor. Jaroslava Adamová
Jaroslava Adamová (15 March 1925 – 16 June 2012) was a Czech film, theater and voice over actress. Her professional career lasted more than sixty years, spanning Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic. Adamová provided the Czech language voice dubbing for many international film actresses, including Jeanne Moreau, Sophia Loren, and Meryl Streep. Adamová received the Thalia Award for theater in 1996. Josef Abrhám (14 December 1939 – 16 May 2022) was a Czech film and theatre actor. Biography He originally began studying acting at Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and later moved to Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where he graduated in 1962. While still a student, he played at the National Theatre, after graduation he performed for three seasons at the Vinohrady Theater. In 1965–1982 he was one of the leading actors in The Drama Club in Prague and has been noted as one of the Czech Republic's best performers. Then he briefly performed at the National Theater, but he ended his long-term commitment in August 1994 and (with two exceptions) quit theatre acting completely.
