Vrapčići, Mostar
Vrapčići are a suburban neighborhood in the City of Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. They are part of the Northern metropolitan area. According to the 2013 census, the population was 3,266. The M-17 road goes right through Vrapčići and connects it with other northern suburbs and the city neighborhood of Zalik. The river Neretva forms the border to Raštani in the west, whereas it borders to Kuti, Livač and the Podveležje village of Dobrč to the east. This part of the city is home of the FK Velež Mostar soccer club. Besides its Rođeni stadium, other important landmarks are the White Mosque and the Sutina cemetery. The suburb is also famous for its weekend-market, which attracts vendors and buyers from all over Bosnia, and even other countries in the region. Bišće Polje (Mostar)
Bišće was a medieval Bosnian '' župa.'' Its location was in Hum (Humska ''zemlja''), and its most important towns were residential places of Bosnian rulers and nobility. History ''Župa'' Bišće is the oldest area of Hum (Humska '' zemlja''). It stretched through the Mostar valley, on the left side of the Neretva river. It is bordered on the west by the river Neretva, where across the Neretva, on its right bank, ''župa'' of Večenike (Večerić) existed. Stadion Rođeni ''( en, Rođeni Stadium)'', previously known as Stadion Vrapčići ''( en, Vrapčići Stadium)'', is a football stadium in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has been owned by FK Velež Mostar since 1995. It is located in the northeastern part of the city, namely the Vrapčići suburb, and is principal stadium and the home-ground of FK Velež Mostar football club. The stadium takes its name from FK Velež's and its supporters' nickname ''"Rođeni"'' ( en, "own", as in "our own"; literally "born"), and was decided after an online poll in 2017. Fudbalski klub Velež Mostar ( sh-Cyrl, Фудбалски клуб Beлеж Мостар; English: Football club Velež Mostar) is a professional football club based in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The club has a history of being one of the most successful clubs from Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was founded on 26 June 1922. The club currently plays at Rođeni Stadium (7,000 capacity), but its historic stadium is the Bijeli Brijeg (9,000 capacity). Due to the divisions between Bosniak and Croat territories, Velež lost its previous home ground of Bijeli Brijeg. That stadium was largely used by Velež during the glory days of the club, when they triumphed in the 1981 and 1986 Yugoslav Cups.
