Carmen Delgado Votaw
Carmen Delgado Votaw was a civil rights pioneer, a public servant, an author, and community leader. She studied at the University of Puerto Rico and graduated from American University in Washington, D.C., with a bachelor of arts in international studies. She was subsequently awarded an honorary doctorate in humanities by Hood College in Frederick, Maryland. Career Votaw was appointed by President Jimmy Carter to serve as cochair of the National Advisory Committee for Women. She served as president of the Interamerican Commission of Women of the Organization of American States in 1979–80. The first president of that body, she remains just one of two women from the United States to have served as the commission's president. During her career, Votaw travelled to more than 80 countries and met with more than 50 heads of state. She was a member of the U.S. delegation to the International Women's Year conference, attending conferences in Mexico City, Copenhagen, Nairobi and Beijing. ...

Phoebe Carolyn Harding Votaw (October 21, 1879 – October 22, 1951) the youngest sister of Warren G. Harding, 29th President of the United States, was a missionary, then a public officeholder in Washington D.C. before and during his administration. She was born in Caledonia, Ohio, in 1879, and graduated from high school in Marion, Ohio, in 1898. To distinguish her from her mother, Phoebe Dickerson Harding, she was known by her middle name Carolyn. From 1905 to 1914, she served as a missionary in Burma with her husband, Heber H. Harriet Lyravine Votaw (December 28, 1874 – April 4, 1958) was an American singer and music educator, based in Chicago. Early life and education Votaw was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Elihu Hilles Votaw and Harriet Weber Votaw. Her father was a clergyman. She graduated from the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago, with degrees in teaching and voice. Mary Forrest Ganz, the first wife of Rudolph Ganz, and Karleton Hackett were among her teachers. Career Votaw was a contralto singer and church soloist, and taught music educators in Chicago. She was director of the school music department at the Bush Conservatory of Music. She held special classes for public school music teachers in evenings and Saturdays. She also taught music at the Frances Shimer School, the Dearborn School of Lyceum Arts, and, until 1937, at North Park College. Ty Votaw
Ty Votaw (born February 1962) is an American lawyer and golf executive. Career Votaw worked in corporate law for a Cincinnati-based firm before joined the Ladies Professional Golf Association as general counsel in 1991. He served as its Commissioner from 1999 to 2005. In 2006 he was appointed Executive Vice President, International Affairs of the PGA Tour. In 2013 Votaw was named Executive Vice President and Chief Global Communications Officer for the PGA Tour, and in September 2014 was named the Tour's Chief Marketing Officer where is responsible for all of the organization's communications, marketing, branding and advertising. Votaw also serves as Vice President of the International Golf Federation.
