Vörå
Vörå (; fi, Vöyri) is a municipality of Finland. In 2011, it was created from the municipalities of Vörå-Maxmo and Oravais. Vörå-Maxmo was created in 2007 from the municipalities of (old) Vörå and Maxmo. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Ostrobothnia region. The municipality is bilingual, with the majority () speaking Swedish and the minority () Finnish. As of 2014, primary industries in Vörå employ "15.5 per cent of the population, 32.9 per cent of people work in the industrial sector, and 50.3 per cent of people work in the service sector." Vorë ( sq-definite, Vora) is a municipality in Tirana County, central Albania. It was formed at the 2015 local government reform by the merger of the former municipalities Bërxullë, Prezë and Vorë, that became municipal units. The seat of the municipality is the town Vorë. The total population is 25,511 (2011 census), in a total area of 82.76 km2. The population of the former municipality at the 2011 census was 10,901. History According to a tradition, the name of Vorë comes from the Albanian word "vorre" (varre) that means "graveyard." Batukrai H Vora (1930–2004) was a journalist from Palitana, Gujarat, India. He represented Palitana constituency from 1972 to 1975. 1949-1950 he worked with ''Jay Gujarat'' and ''Mashal'', Gujarati language-journalist published in Bombay. He then became involved in trade union struggles and joined the Communist Party of India. After returning to journalistic work, he wrote for the CPI party organ New Age. He also worked for ''India Abroad'', and was its correspondent in San Francisco, United States. In the 1978 Gujarat state assembly elections he contested and won the Palitana seat in Bhavnagar district as a CPI candidate. He is the only CPI candidate in history which has won a seat in the Gujarat state assembly. Motilal Vora (20 December 1928 – 21 December 2020) was an Indian politician belonging to the Indian National Congress (INC). He served as Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh (1985–1988; 1989). He was born in Nimbi Jodha, Jodhpur State, British India. He was also Governor of Uttar Pradesh from 1993 to 1996. Early life Vora was born on 20 December 1928 at Nimbi Jodha in Jodhpur State of British India's Rajputana Agency (present-day Nagaur district, Rajasthan) to a Pushkarna Brahmin family.
