Voodoo Circle
Voodoo Circle, also known as Alex Beyrodt's Voodoo Circle, is a German hard rock band founded in 2008, as a project of Silent Force guitarist Alex Beyrodt (currently also playing with heavy metal band Primal Fear) who had the idea to re-think his personal vision of music, making songs more based on his early influences, such as Whitesnake, Yngwie Malmsteen, Deep Purple and Rainbow. After the debut album called ''Alex Beyrodt's Voodoo Circle'', the project became a collaborative band, composed mainly of Alex Beyrodt on guitar together with vocalist David Readman (Pink Cream 69) and bassist Mat Sinner (Beyrodt's bandmate on bands Primal Fear, Sinner and Silent Force) with the addition of a keyboard player and a drummer. On 5 May 2016, after doing 4 albums and tours, it was announced that original vocalist David Readman was leaving the band to focus on other activities. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Some of the earliest hard rock music was produced by the Kinks, the Who, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. In the late 1960s, bands such as Blue Cheer, the Jeff Beck Group, Iron Butterfly, Led Zeppelin, Golden Earring, Steppenwolf and Deep Purple also produced hard rock. Mat Sinner
Mat Sinner (born Matthias Lasch; 16 October 1964 in Stuttgart, West Germany) is a bassist, vocalist, and record producer from Stuttgart, Germany. Sinner has been involved in numerous bands and projects throughout his musical career. His main bands have been Sinner since 1982 and Primal Fear since 1997; he formed the latter band with former Gamma Ray singer Ralf Scheepers. He also formed the band Voodoo Circle with guitarist Alex Beyrodt, in 2008. Sinner has also been working as a record producer for Kiske/Somerville, Bobby Kimball/Jimi Jamison (former vocalists of bands Toto and Survivor), and the first Scheepers solo album. Sinner is also the musical director of the successful Rock Meets Classic tour in Europe, where legendary rock singers team up with the RMC Symphony Orchestra and the Mat Sinner Band every year with a setlist of classic rock songs. ''Raised on Rock'' is the fifth album by rock band Alex Beyrodt's Voodoo Circle. It was released on 9 February 2018 via AFM Records and it was produced by Alex Beyrodt itself with the collaboration of bass guitarist Mat Sinner. This is the first album with new lead singer Herbie Langhans (Avantasia) instead of David Readman (Pink Cream 69) and the former Italian keyboardist/vocalist Alessandro Del Vecchio co-wrote one track and a bonus for limited and Japanese edition. The album was preceded by the singles "Running Away from Love" on 15 December 2017 and "Higher Love" on 26 January 2018. ''Whisky Fingers'' is the fourth studio album by German hard rock band Alex Beyrodt's Voodoo Circle. It was released on November 27, 2015 via AFM Records, and it was produced by Alex Beyrodt. It was the last album with lead singer David Readman, then substituted by Herbie Langhans, the first with Italian drummer Francesco Jovino, instead of Tim Husung, and the only with multi-instrumentalist Alessandro Del Vecchio on keyboards and vocals. Rainbow (English Band)
Rainbow (also known as Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow or Blackmore's Rainbow) are a British rock supergroup, formed in London and Los Angeles in 1975 by guitarist Ritchie Blackmore. Established in the aftermath of Blackmore's first departure from Deep Purple, they originally featured four members of the band Elf, including their singer Ronnie James Dio, but after their self-titled debut album, Blackmore fired these members, except Dio, recruiting new members, including drummer Cozy Powell. Mel Gaynor
Mel George Gaynor (born 29 May 1959) is a British drummer, best known as the longtime drummer for the rock band Simple Minds. Biography Gaynor was born to a Jamaican father and an Afro-Brazilian mother. He began drumming at age 11 and had his first professional engagement at age 14. After leaving the hard rock band Samson (in which he played alongside future Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson), Gaynor joined Simple Minds in 1982 as a session drummer for the '' New Gold Dream'' album (as a recommendation by record producer Pete Walsh), playing on six of the nine tracks.
