Lindaren Volley Amriswil is a Swiss professional men's volleyball club based in Amriswil, Switzerland ). Swiss law does not designate a ''capital'' as such, but the federal parliament and government are installed in Bern, while other federal institutions, such as the federal courts, are in other cities (Bellinzona, Lausanne, Luzern, Neuchâtel .... The A-grade men's team established itself as a top-tier Swiss team in the early 1990s and has continuously finished the Swiss championships in top ranks ever since. The men's semi-professional tema club has qualified for and participated in European Cups several times since 1995. Several team members have played on the Swiss national team. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996.
