"Volcano" is the second episode of the South Park (season 1), first season of the American animated television series ''South Park''. It first aired on Comedy Central in the United States on August 20, 1997. In the episode, Stan Marsh, Stan, Kyle Broflovski, Kyle, Eric Cartman, Cartman and Kenny McCormick, Kenny go on a hunting trip with Stan's uncle List of South Park families#Jimbo Kern, Jimbo and his war buddy List of recurring South Park characters#Ned Gerblansky, Ned. While on the trip, Stan is frustrated by his unwillingness to shoot a living creature, and Cartman tries to scare the hunting party with tales of a creature named Scuzzlebutt. Meanwhile, the group is unaware that a nearby volcano is about to erupt. The episode was written by series co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. ''South Park'' is an American animated sitcom created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone and developed by Brian Graden for Comedy Central. The series revolves around four boys Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormickand their exploits in and around the titular Colorado town. ''South Park'' became infamous for its profanity and dark, surreal humor that satirizes a wide range of topics toward an adult audience.
