Andreas Vojta (born 9 June 1989 in Vienna) is an Austrian distance runner. He competed in the 1500 metres competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He is the current Austrian marathon champion. Running career Andreas Vojta began his running career at LCC Vienna. He was initially trained by Renata Sitek and then rose to the training group of athletic conductor Wilhelm Lilge. Jakub Vojta (born February 8, 1987) is a Czech former professional ice hockey defenceman. He played in the Slovak Extraliga and the Czech Extraliga. Career Vojta was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 4th round (94th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. He made his Slovak Extraliga debut with HK Nitra during the 2007–08 Slovak Extraliga season. In 2007, Vojta played in the IIHF World U20 Championship for the Czech Rep. U-20 Team. Jan Ignác František Vojta was a Czech composer (*1657-+12.5.1701) of Baroque music and a doctor of medicine. Apart from notes in the university records, written in his own hand, we have no other primary source information about him. He lived in the Týn quarter in Old Town of Prague. Josef Vojta (born 19 April 1935) is a former Czechoslovak football player. His youth football career started in Usti nad Labem. During his professional club career he played most of the time (1960–1968) for Sparta Prague in Czechoslovak First League. Between 1960 and 1968 he made 351 league appearances and scored 77 goals from his position of midfielder. He earned 13 caps and scored 3 goals for the Czechoslovakia national football team, and was part of the bronze team at the UEFA Euro 1960, and also won a silver medal in Football at the 1964 Summer Olympics. Josef Vojta was famous for his hard style of playing – he was the "hardest footballer" in 1960s in Czechoslovakia. And also, he was famous for his versatility, because his position on field could be attacker or midfielder same as defender. Paul Alan Vojta (born September 30, 1957) is an American mathematician, known for his work in number theory on Diophantine geometry and Diophantine approximation. Contributions In formulating Vojta's conjecture, he pointed out the possible existence of parallels between the Nevanlinna theory of complex analysis, and diophantine analysis in the circle of ideas around the Mordell conjecture and abc conjecture. This suggested the importance of the ''integer solutions'' (affine space) aspect of diophantine equations. Vojta wrote the .dvi-previewer xdvi. Education and career He was an undergraduate student at the University of Minnesota, where he became a Putnam Fellow in 1977, and a doctoral student at Harvard University (1983). Přemysl Vojta (born 1983) is a Czech horn player. Life Born in Brno, Vojta received horn lessons from the age of 10 and studied at the Prague Conservatory with Bedřich Tylšar from 1998 to 2004 and then at the Berlin University of the Arts with from 2004 to 2010. He was then principal horn with the Konzerthausorchester Berlin and since 2015 with the WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln. Since his success at the ARD International Music Competition in 2010, he has also performed as a concert soloist and chamber musician. Václav Vojta (12 July 1917 – 12 September 2000) was a renowned Czech medical doctor who specialized in the treatment of children with cerebral palsy and developmental disorders. He discovered the principle of reflex locomotion, which is used to treat various physical and neuromuscular disorders through the stimulation of the human sensomotoric system's reflex points. Originally used in the treatment of spastic children, the technique is now used on babies and adults.
