Vo Van Ai
Vo Van Ai (19 October 1935 – 26 January 2023) was a Vietnamese poet, journalist, and human-rights activist. He is an expert in the history of Buddhism and of Vietnam. He was a Buddhist and had lived in Paris since the 1950s. Vo was founder and President of Quê Me: Action for Democracy in Vietnam and the Vietnam Committee on Human Rights, Director of the International Buddhist Information Bureau, and the Overseas Spokesman of the independent Unified Buddhist Church of Vietnam (UBCV), which is currently banned in Vietnam. A specialist on human rights and religious freedom, he contributed frequently to reports and testimonies to the United Nations, U.S. Congress, and European Parliament. Medical Neglect
In the context of caregiving, neglect is a form of abuse where the perpetrator, who is responsible for caring for someone who is unable to care for themselves, fails to do so. Unified Buddhist Church Of Vietnam
The Unified Buddhist Sangha of Vietnam (''Giáo hội Phật giáo Việt Nam Thống nhất'' or ''GHPGVNTN'' or '' Unified Buddhist Church of Vietnam (UBCV)'' ) is a Buddhist organization in Vietnam. The Unified Buddhist Sangha of Vietnam was founded in 1964 in order to unify 11 of the 14 different sects of Vietnamese Buddhism which were present in the country at the time. The unification also came in response to a government that was increasingly being seen as hostile to Buddhists during the Vietnam War.
