Vlasta Štěpová
Vlasta Štěpová (born 7 June 1938) is a Czech former politician and economist. She was the Czechoslovak Minister of Trade and Tourism in the Federation between 1989 and 1992, as part of the cabinet of firstly František Pitra, then Petr Pithart. She was elected as a member of the Civic Forum to the Czech National Council in June 1990. After spending some time with the Civic Movement (''Občanské hnutí''), she joined the Social Democratic Party in March 1994. František Pitra
František Pitra (13 November 1932 – 2 January 2018) was the Prime Minister of the Czech Socialist Republic (then part of Czechoslovakia) from October 11, 1988, through February 6, 1990. Like his four predecessors, he was a member of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia. Pitra attended an agricultural engineer in the years 1951–1955 graduated from the University of Agriculture in Brno. Radio Prague
Radio Prague International ( cs, Český rozhlas 7 – Radio Praha) is the official international broadcasting station of the Czech Republic. Broadcasting first began on August 31, 1936 near the spa town of Poděbrady. Radio Prague broadcasts in six languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Czech and Russian. It broadcasts programmes about the Czech Republic on satellite and on the Internet. In 2021, Rospotrebnadzor blocked the website of Radio Prague International in Russia due to a report about Jan Palach from 2001. Programming The station broadcasts a total of 24 hours' worth of programmes per day, 3 hours of which are new programmes (one new 30-minute programme in each of the six languages); the remaining 21 hours are rebroadcasts. Civic Movement
The Civic Movement ( cs, Občanské hnutí, OH) was a liberal political party based in the Czech Republic, which existed from 1991 to 1995. The party was established after the break-up of Civic Forum by the liberal wing of Civic Forum, while the conservative wing established the Civic Democratic Party. Foreign Minister Jiří Dienstbier was elected leader of the Civic Movement. The party participated in the 1992 legislative election but failed to reach the required 5% threshold and was left without parliamentary representation. The party then renamed itself as the Free Democrats (''Svobodní demokraté'', SD), modelled on the Free Democratic Party of Germany, as the party tried to position itself as a more clearcut liberal party.
